"Hey."Rafe smiled faintly "hi."I whispered staring out the window, I was in the bottom of Ward Cameron's boat locked in Rafe and I's bedroom we have to share for the trip. "How are you?"he asked "I'm fine."I said "do you remember anything yet?"he asked I had forgotten a lot that's happened in the last three months, I remember some important big things, but not the details. "All I remember is, my whole families dead, I don't know why they are, I was shot four times, I was pregnant but I lost the baby one of the times I got shot. I died in a storm after being framed for murder and on the run. That's all."I said looking up at him he nodded smiling to himself. "what about us? So you remember anything that happened about our relationship?"he asked "no, were still dating last I checked."I shook my head he smiled kissing my head "okay, do you wanna come up? I'm sure dad wouldn't mind if you came up to have a look around."he offered "sure."I smiled weakly standing up him holding my hand and leading me up, where wheezie, Rose, Ward, and Sarah were. I smiled at the three woman sitting by wheezie while Rafe went to go talk to Ward. Sarah almost looked sorry for me "Rose, do you know where were going? And if so are we almost there?"I asked turning to the older woman "I believe we are going out to our beach house in the Bahamas, and I'm pretty sure we're almost there."she smiled at me I nodded, it's been two weeks since I was shot and woke up in Rafe's bed back in outer banks.
"Hey Sarah."I smiled up at the blonde girl as she walked into mine and Rafe's room, she smiled weakly sitting next to me on the bed. Rafe was in the shower. "Do you remember anything? Anything at all?"Sarah whispered "no."I shook my head "Ruby, do you know the reason you lost your baby?"she asked "yeah, I was shot and it hit the baby killing it."I nodded she looked down placing her hand on my knee, rubbing it, patting it, than walking out. I was confused from what all that was "what'd she want?"Rafe came out ruffling his hair with a towel hanging it around his shoulder as he came over to me kissing my head, a towel loosely wrapped around his waist. "I honestly don't know."I stared at the open door Sarah had walked out of. "Hey."he lifted my chin making me look at him I hummed "I love you."he pecked my lips "love you too."I smiled weakly watching as he walked into the closet I tossed myself back onto the bed. "Isn't this nice? Feels like the old days. When you'd come on family vacations with me."Rafe yelled from the closet "yeah."I mumbled staring at the ceiling. Furrowing my eyebrows as something reflected on the ceiling, I stood up looking out the window, widening my eyes seeing JJ holding the melted chunk of gold in his hands shining it into the window, he smiled jumping around seeing me standing there. I noticed John B Pope Kie, and Sarah? They all started waving for me to come down "hey Rafe, I'm gonna go out into town, ok? I'll be back tonight before dinner, I'll have my phone, call me if you need anything."I said grabbing my phone and jacket he came out now wearing shorts his hair still damp he grabbed my waist pulling me closer kissing me "ok I gotta go."I walked backwards him still kissing me as I walked away "bye! Love you, be safe."he called back "love you too!"I yelled skipping downstairs, his parents and wheezie had left after lunch to go out in town seeing as wheezie wanted to see a few things she's never seen before. I walked out the back door meeting up with the group of teens I haven't seen in two weeks, besides Sarah of course. As soon as I turned around they all pulled me into a group hug "were so glad your ok!"Kie smiled "why wouldnt I? I've been with my amazing boyfriend and his family, and my beautiful best friend."I smiled at Sarah, confused at the hurt look on JJ's face. "What?"JB looked at Sarah "she doesn't remember any details of anything that's happened the last three months. She knows things, just not how it happened or who did it."she answered "c'mon, we gotta go."Pope rushed the group "will we be back by dinner? I told Rafe I'd be back by then."I asked as JJ pulled me along.
