Harry just stared at her, obviously confused, but with a bit of cheeky hopefulness slowly starting to form in his expression "It? You wanna do it?"

He raised an eyebrow expectantly, unable to hide the excitement growing in his face.

Alex walked over with a smirk on her face, but her expression wasn't exactly readable. When she reached the bed, standing next to where Harry sat, she ran her fingers over his hair.

"You're cute, you know?" she smiled.

"That is so patronizing, you prick!" he huffed and pouted, "You can't keep playing with me like that."

Laughing at his childish reaction, she put her arms up, "What? I mean it, you're cute."

When Harry refused to stop pouting, she picked his chin up and smiled before leaning over to give him a kiss. She felt Harry's lips slowly curve into a smile, and she found herself doing the same.

Much to Harry's protests, she pulled away within a couple of seconds.

"But no, I don't think we are referring to the same 'it'." Alex said, the playful smirk back on her face.

Harry let out an exaggerated sigh, but said nothing. He made a hand gesture, urging her to keep talking. She pursed her lips before moving her hand to pinch her bottom lip between her thumb and index finger. She was debating where to start and how to say it. And the more she thought about it, the more she felt stupid. After all, that seems to be what overthinking does to everyone—winding you up until you start reeling.

So before her thoughts ended up spiralling out of her control, she took a massive deep breath and said as fast as she could, "Let me tag along to London with you."

She scrunched up her face and closed her eyes as if bracing for Harry's reaction. But realistically what terrible reaction was she bracing for? When she didn't immediately hear any response from Harry, she quickly added with her eyes still closed, "Unless you've rescinded the offer. Then that's alright too."

She had barely got the words out when she felt Harry's arms wrap around her, pulling her down and on top of him.

"I don't know what resind?—resend? Or whatever means because I'm not a nerd, so I don't know how I could possibly rescind anything. But you mean it? You're coming to London? Because there's no takebacks here." he sounded so excited, Alex couldn't resist smiling.

It was such a foreign feeling; to be able to make someone genuinely happy like this just by being around. She wasn't sure if she has ever felt this kind of giddy happiness before. It was an almost odd feeling, but it was a welcome feeling nonetheless.

"Oh shit, we should probably book a ticket. I can change mine so we can fly together." he had sat up and was already back on his phone.

"Wait! Calm down!" Alex laughed, "I didn't exactly mean tomorrow."

Harry's face fell, which instantly made Alex feel guilty. She really should've been more specific.

She wrapped her arms around him, her legs straddling his waist, trying to erase the disappointment from his face. This worked, of course, earning a cute little grin from Harry.
