Shall We Date Ninja Love

Ninja Love Prologue Part 1

The year was 1581, Kawachinokuni. My simple life was perfect for me. I am the granddaughter of the 

Chief Priest in my home town village.  I began to stroll down the village when I was stopped by some villager.

Villager 1: "What are you doing Aki?"

Aki: "I'm just taking these snacks to the students."

Villager 2:"Oh wow, directly from the chief priest's granddaughter?"

Villager 1: "you lost your parents and were taken to the temple right? You work so hard with a heavy burden. It's so admirable."

Aki: (Everyone says so but there really isn't anything special about me. Grandpa just raised me the best he could.) "…Huh?"

A man was towards me, he had a sword so I'm guessing he might be a samurai.

Man: "Hey you!"

Aki: "Y-Yes?"

Man: "Can I have some of that?"

"Ah, yeah. Maybe a little."

Man: "Thanks!"

He takes a few berries from my bag and pops them into his mouth.

Man:  "…Mhh not bad at all."

Aki: " Yeah! Everyone in the village loves them too!"

Man: "Hmmmm…I see. Oh yeah! I guess I didn't introduce myself. I'm Musashi Miyamoto." 

Aki: "Musashi? My name is Aki. What are you doing in this country village?"

Musashi: "I promised to meet someone around here."

Aki: "oh yeah?"

Musashi: "Yeah…actually it's time now. See you and thanks for the snack!"

Musashi walked further into the Village. I realized I needed to get back to the temple so I began to rush 

back. As I walked up to the temple Jen Jen was running out of the temple. She stopped in fount of me and sighed, and placed her fits on her hips.

Jen Jen: "Where did you go?"

Aki: "Oh I just went to grab some snacks."

Jen Jen: "Bah! I told you I would go with you! There have been bandits recently so you need to be careful."

I starred up to the ceiling for a moment

Aki: (Bandits….) "You mean the people sent by Nobunaga Oda?"

Jen Jen: "Yes, they are hunting ninjas by his order. He is well known for hating ninja. He used Koga to invade Inga but now plans to destroy Koga."

Aki: "Is Nobunaga really that scared of the ninjas?"

Jen Jen: "Yeah. He must know their true power. He fears they will get in his way."

Aki: "But it's not like Nobunaga is for sure taking over the country…"

Jen Jen: "That's true. There are still other possible players. Like the really strong samurai serving under 

Tokugawa."

Aki: "Ohh, really? What's his name?"

Jen Jen: "Munenori Yagyu, the head of the Yagyu clan. Not only is he an amazing swordsman, but I hear he is quite clever too." 

Aki: "I have even heard stories about him from grandpa."

Jen Jen: " Although I have heard he is forced to be quite cruel sometimes."

Aki: "I see…but this really has nothing to do with our little temple."

Jen Jen: "Well yeah, but you can never be too careful."

Aki: "…Ah!"

Jen Jen: "W-What?"

Aki: "I have to feed the kittens!"

I headed into the main hall of the temple.

Jen Jen: "Aki! The preist said to stay away from the temple! Bah she can't hear me anyways…" 

I heard her yell, but I was too worried about the kittens to stop.
