Kotaro: Lord Hanzo! Nobakatsu's army had surrounded the moat!
Hanzo: They're finally here... At this castle, we shall defeat Nobakatsu.
Everyone is running around the halls like crazy. Some of the lower rank ninja began to bump into me causing me to fall to the ground from the commotion. Kotaro dashedover to me andpicked me up from the ground.
Kotaro: Princess, please take cover in here!
Kotaro and I ran over to the bottom of the steps.
Kotaro: Quickly up these stairs!
I turned around and saw Sasuke following Kotaro and I up the stairs. I stopped walking upthe stairs watching as everyone was running around the halls. My eyes began to fill with tears. How many of these ninja are going to give their lives for this pointless war or protecting me? I'm not even the real princess does that mean all these ninja will die in vain?
SMACK!
Sasuke slapped my cheek.
Sasuke: PULL YOURSELF TOGETHER! NOW IS NOT THE TIME TO SPACE OUT!
Jen Jen: Sasuke...
Sasuke: Goemon risked his life for us... Jen Jen we're going to protect you, okay?
I suddenly had a flash back when we left Goemon at the bridge.
Goemon: Sasuke, protect Jen Jen.
He said that then cut the bridge ropes.
I looked into Sasuke's eyes and realized. I'm no princess, I am a ninja! I have to live on for Aki, and Sasuke, Goemon, Saizo, Hanzo...everyone that cares about me... I can't space out in the beginning of the battle. I have to fight with everything I've got to protect the people I love.
Kotaro Sasuke and I ran to the top of the stairs. Where we could see the massive army outside the castle walls.
Nobukatsu: Destroy this moat, and then take the ninjas and their princess captive.
BOOM! BOOM! BANG!
Gun shots echoed throughout the castle.
Jen Jen: Is there something I can do Kotaro?
He nodded his head yes.
Kotaro: Princess...Please load these firearms with bullets.
Jen Jen: Okay!
BOOM BOOM BANG!
Kotaro began to shot down Nobukatsu. One by one the men began to fall. I was trading off and handing him gun after gun. Pouring in the black powdered into the barrel of the gun and reloading it with a new bullet. Kotaro was shooting men from Nobukatsu's army faster than I could re load the guns.
Nobukatsu: At this rate we won't break in. EVERYONE CHARGE!
Jen Jen: The foot soldiers are jumping onto the moat!
Sasuke got close to my ear.
Sasuke: Don't worry! There are traps in there!
Suddenly the air was filled with the sound of screaming Soldiers. Their blood stained the ground and water around them.
Sasuke: In that moat, we rigged stings with poison needles.
Nobukatsu: Use the bodies of the dying foot soldiers and build me a bridge!
Jen Jen: What kind of heartless man uses the body of his dying soldiers to build a bridge? What a fucking coward! HEY NOBUKATSU YOU COWARD!
Kotaro pulled me away from the window.
Kotaro: I think it's best you don't try to antagonize him princess.
Jen Jen: But that isn't right...All those people dying...
Samurai: H-Hey! Do as our commander says move out!
The foot soldiers began to crossing the most to get to the castle walls. Suddenly a huge wall of Arrows flew from the castle walls.
Sasuke: We won't let you get near this castle!
There was a rumbling from below my feet. I looked out and saw the castle gate opening and a giant boulder came rolling out. The soldiers screamed as they tired running and jumping out of the way of the towering rock.
Samurai: N-No good, sir! We're losing too many men.
Nobukatsu: Dammit! Everyone pull back!
Wow, is this the true power of the ninja castle?
As the army pulled away Kotaro and Sasuke led me outside to the court yard. We met up with Hanzo and Saizo as they talked about the battle.
Saizo: Nobukatsu army has completely retreated! Lord Hanzo well done!
Hanzo: Yes as you said this castle has an amazing fortress.
Kotaro: However, Nobukatsu still outnumbers us. We can't defend here forever.
Hanzo: After fighting here they will change their strategies. It 'likely they will employ siege tactics to starve us. They will lay siege to this castle, and cut off all supplies and wait.
Saizo: Before that, why don't we attack them?
Sasuke: At night we could leave though the underground passage and attack.
Hanzo: I see...that could work. Unlike us ninja, Nobukatsu's army isn't used to a war in the darkness.
Sasuke: At nightfall, we can approach their camps and set up bombs.
Hanzo: Already! Give the order to the troops and begin our plan. Let's strike back with our powers combined!
