Chapter Forty Six - Alone At Last

After Aki and I left Iga with Kotaro, Sasuke, and Saizo we came to this amazing town. Sasuke wanted to leave and take me somewhere special. I felt bad, but I wanted to spend some time with Sasuke. I was a bit worried Aki's grandfather wouldn't bless Sasuke's and I marriage. What if he hates Sasuke? It is easy for Aki because Kotaro is an amazing ninja. Sasuke is also an amazing ninja, but sometimes people see him as a child. 

Jen Jen: The people of Iga are so nice. 

Sasuke: Do you miss Iga? Do you want to go back? 

Sasuke looks at my face with a frown.  

Jen Jen: I will miss them, but as long as I have you I won't be sad! You'll stay with me forever right Sasuke?! 

Sasuke suddenly smiles. 

Sasuke: Of course I will! I won't leave you even if you told me to. 

Sasuke gently kisses my forehead. 

Saizo: Oh get a room. 

Sasuke: Saizo it's a small kiss on the forehead! 

Saizo: And I'll make a small kiss on your ass with my foot!  

Sasuke: Yeah! Wanna try?! 

I laughed but I went expressionless. I couldn't help but show I was worried about something. Saizo points to me and Sasuke looks at my face. I look behind us thinking of Aki. I wanted to talk to her about this, but Sasuke wanted me to have some time with him before we reach my home town.  

Sasuke: What's the matter Jen Jen? Are you tired? 

Saizo: She is an elite ninja! Why would she be tired? 

Sasuke: I'm making sure my future wife is okay! 

Jen Jen: I'm fine Sasuke...I'm just... 

Sasuke: Hm? Tell me what is bothering you. I want you to share your problems. 

Jen Jen: I...I am wondering if Aki's grandfather will approve of our marriage. 

Sasuke: Oh, is that all? It'll be okay! You'll see! 

Saizo: That's reinsuring! 

Sasuke: Isn't there some random village for you to go pillage?  

Saizo: No I got stuck babysitting you two! I have to make sure you monkeys get to Kanshinji Temple at the same time as Aki and Kotaro. 

Sasuke: Whatever!  

Sasuke grabs my chin and pulls it up to look up to him. 

Sasuke: Even if he says no, I'll convince him to accept me! I told you, I will make you happy, Jen Jen. I will make you happy no matter what! 

Sasuke wraps his arms around me. His strength comforts me. 

Jen Jen: Thanks Sasuke! 

Sasuke moves his face closer to mine. I close my eyes and wait for his lips to touch mine. Sasuke stops and pulls back as we heard a rustle in the wood in front of us. Saizo steps toward us pulling out his weapon. 

Samurai: Kusunoki princess! Sasuke and Saizo! We'll have your lives! 

A number of Samurai jump out of the tree cover. 

Saizo: They must be survivors from the Ninja castle. They all think she's the princess. 

I pull out my Katana and grin. 

Jen Jen: Come get me if you can! 

Sasuke pushes me off to the side.  

Sasuke: Jen Jen, stand back.
