Chapter Thirty Three - Together At Last!

Musashi and I began to swim towards the spring at the end of the river. I coughed the river water up as I tried to crawled out of the water. Musashi helped me out of the water. 

Aki: Ugh! 

Musashi: Sorry for all that back there... 

Aki: Why would you jump into a river? I can't swim! 

Musashi looked at me as I gave him a bad look. 

Musashi: I realized that after we jumped in... 

I threw my hands up. 

Aki: I'm so tired of falling into rivers! 

Musashi: What? 

Aki: Why did you take me as Hostage?! 

Musashi: Well aren't you a brave one! I can see why you're the ninja princess.  

Aki: Are you going to answer me?! 

Musashi: You need to dry off. 

Aki: ... 

Musashi suddenly builds a fire from what is around him. 

Musashi: You probably shouldn't run away. I can kill you in a second. 

Aki: Wouldn't know that for a fact unless I ran now would I? 

Musashi: OOOH Sassy! I like that! 

I looked around and it was so dark I had no clue where I was. Even if I ran I wouldn't have the slightest Idea where to go. I'm only good at running away...

After a while I sat down from a distance from the fire.  

Musashi: Come up close to the fire. You'll catch a cold from there. 

I looked at him and moved closer. I started to think what a strange guy he was. I watch Musashi's the fire crackled between us. He raised his arm and I instantly tense up. He looks at me and sighs. 

Musashi: Don't worry, I don't hurt women. 

Aki: But you just said you would kill me. 

Musashi: Well...I didn't mean it...I didn't want you to run away after all. 

Musashi is different when he is fighting. 

Aki: Are you going to take me to Nobunaga? 

Musashi: No, I don't plan to. 

Aki: What?! 

Musashi: I told you, I want a challenge. 

Aki: ... 

Musashi: I need t you to get a one-on one fight with them. I can't fight both of them especially if they have a gun. Though I did manage to cut that thing in half. 

Aki: You kidnapped me for a challenge? 

Musashi: Nobunaga might be paying me but I am not loyal to him. I just figured it would give me the opportunity to meet other strong challengers, and look I actually did meet some strong guys. 

Aki: You killed Negoro for a challenge? 

Musashi: Yes. 

Without thinking I got up and slapped Musashi. 

Aki: Is that what you think a life is worth?! 

Musashi: ... 

He grabbed his face in shock. 

Aki: There were people that loved them! Those people are crying now! Did you think of that?! 

Musashi: ...Are you scared of me?
