I awoke to the sounds of a howl.

I scrambled to my feet only to realize that I was still in my wolf form and sitting under the oak tree. I had fallen asleep. Holy shit, I scrambled to my feet to direct the sound of the howl, I must've been asleep for a few hours because the sun was making its way down the sky and the moon was seen in the sky as the snow fell.

Life was the most peaceful at night. It was the only time I could think.

I sat back down as the moon rose in the sky, I didn't care about my surroundings or why it wasn't a good idea to sit out here and be exposed to the world, especially at night. Layla and I just wanted to sit here and enjoy the beauty of the world, the moon, and the snow.

There was a reason I always stayed on my guard.

A gunshot through the dark forest, I didn't realize it until it was too late, a snipper had been shot, the gun had no sound but shot as well, hell, even better than a normal gun. But the thing that sucked about snipers is, you didn't realize the gun had been shot until it hit its victim. And in this case...that was me.

The bullet hit me right in the gut and I could tell by the sizzle of my flesh that it was silver, a bullet meant to kill wolves, and although I had this damn curse, silver still affected me just as a normal wolf, if not normal then worse.

I grunted as the bullet hit me and immediately got on my feet to dart into the forest. Whoever shot that gun knew I was a werewolf, otherwise, they wouldn't have used silver, who the hell was trying to kill me?!

It wouldn't be anyone in the pack, they all hate me but they have never in my seventeen years of life ever attempted murder of me. If anyone asked me, I honestly thought they were all too scared to even try it, even Alpha, why else would I live in a giant house by myself in the woods, all alone with the nearest house over twenty miles away? At the time, getting a house so far seemed like a wonderful idea, but not now, when I needed help from a silver bullet wound.

I hissed out in pain, the air that I blew from my snout puffed in clouds as I tried to freeze my blood so it would stop gushing. I didn't have very good control over my magic so all I managed to do was hit the nearest tree with an ice shard covered in my blood.

I groaned in annoyance. How the hell was I supposed to get anywhere if I was going to bleed out right in the middle of the fucking woods.

I heard a branch snap and immediately flattened myself against the dirt ground, a man stood over me with a grin on his scarred face, a long black sniper pistol was slung over his shoulder. For some reason, his eyes on me made me sick with fear.

Layla whimpered in my mind as I growled at him in a warning for him to back away and snapped at his outstretched hand. The man laughed, "Oh, she does have fight in her, they warned me you would." he quickly snapped his hand around, his thick meaty hand gripped my scruff and he yanked me backwards, "I told them I liked a fight." He grout out and I attempted a half assed growlish bark to threaten him off but he only laughed at my lame attempts.

He threw my body against the ground, blood gushed out of my bullet wound and I inwardly hissed in pain. I pushed off the ground, Layla finally snapped and took control from me, she immediately started growling and snarling at the man. His evil smirk egging her on.

Layla sniffed the air once, before stamping our hind leg on the ground. Immediately ice shards shot from the air, the snow balled and froze into shards and shot right into the human hunters heart. He crashed dead to the frozen earth as I stared at him in shock, my eyes wide as Layla gave me back control.

I killed another man.

Holy shit, holy shit, shit, shit!

I started to freak out, I had no idea what to do about this, a dead body sat on my property, an ice shard dug into his heart, and it was my fault. Layla felt no pity for this man and I agreed, he tried to kill me. But the thing is, WHAT DO I DO WITH THE BODY?!

Layla snickered in my mind but it quickly turned to whines of pain as the silver spread into my steam.

I couldn't heal until this son of a bitch was out and I couldn't do that as a wolf. I did my best to make it as far as I could away from the body in wolf form until I could stay on four legs any longer, I shifted back to my human form. Not really feeling the cold as I pressed my hands to the wound, my vision darkened and black spots danced behind my eyes.

Pain made me numb to anything and everything as I blindly stumbled through the woods.

I heard a loud smacking sound and a faint sound of cheers and woots and heavy music further in the woods. It was then I heard a magic voice, "For a welcoming party that was hella lame." He remarked, to his partner.

I expected to hear a female voice answer, that thought filled me with jealousy which was insane since I was bleeding to death as they spoke, but listed as a male voice answered, "They didn't have the good beer." he whined, "I don't care about them anyway, I just want yo-wait do you smell that?" his voice changed as I heard him sniff the air.

I heard the other guy take a whiff of the air. My legs trembled as I listened to a rustling sound, "It's amazing, like cinnamon and coffee." he groaned.

"Yeah!" the guy's partner said right as I stumbled into the clearing they both stood in. their eyes were wide and beautiful as they landed on my naked and bloodied form.

"Holy shit." the blond against the tree muttered as they stared at me in shock, Layla was going crazy in my mind at the sight of them both but I couldn't figure out why as my world went dark and I crashed to the ground.
