Third person pov

After Kazuo had recovered a bit, they went to look for the others. After a while, they found Kakashi. "Did you find anything?" he asked them.

Ayame shook her head. "No, you?"

"Nothing either." Kakashi replied. "Are you okay?" he added while looking at Kazuo.

Kazuo told him that his had was nearly cut off by an enemy. "On top of that, the other one could absorbe chakra!" Kazuki added. "Ayame told me almost all of her chakra was drained by that woman!"

"Some times, it's a good thing to have a demon inside you from whom you can borrow chakra." Ayame said. "He's also good to talk to when you're lonely."

"You can talk to it?!" Kazuki asked.

"You're actually talking to it?!" Kazuo and Kakashi added.

"He really likes me. He deeply cares for me and he wouldn't kill me... We have had real good conversations, like when we--" Ayame was interrupted by a loud bang. There was a bright light in the form of a star. "He used that technique...?" Ayame muttered.

"Who used what technique?" Kakashi asked.

"Deidara." Ayame replied. "Unless his opponent was able to use a space-time ninjutsu in time, he or she is dead."

"We should go there, right Kakashi-sensei?" Kazuo asked. They set off to find the source.  When they arrived, the rest was there too.

"Deidara has definitely been here." Yūgure said.

"He blew himself up... who in the world was he facing?" Ayame muttered. "He wouldn't just blow himself up without a reason..."

"I smell Sasuke." Kiba said. "My smell is better than ever."

"Lear us the way! We're not letting Sasuke slip away this time!" Naruto said.

"I'll go back to the village with Kazuo." Kazuki said. "We'll only slow you down with Kazuo wounded this badly."

"Take my dogs with you." Ayame said. "And I'll sent a message to Lady Tsunade to ask if she wants to send someone to meet you on the way. You guys don't have to wait for me, I'll meet up with you later."

The group nodded and left. Ayame wrote something on a piece of paper, drew out a route on two maps and summoned a raven.  She attached the letter and one map and let the bird fly away with orders to get everything to Tsunade. Ayame gave the remaining map to Kazuki. "Just return to the village safely, okay?" she asked.

"I won't let anything happen to me or Kazuo! I'll make sure we're both safe!" Kazuki replied.

Ayame nodded and went in the same direction as the group, wishing Kazuo and Kazuki good luck on their way back.

Kazuki and Kazuo left in the opposite direction. In the meanwhile, the raven was near the gates of Konoha and flew towards the Hokage's office. It knocked on the window to get Tsunade's attention. Tsunade opened the window to let it in. "I've... got... an... important... message... from... Ayame..." it said, sounding out of breath.

"Lady Tsunade, what did it say?" Shizune asked.

"Get Hitoshi, he will be going on a mission."

"Hokage-sama, you wanted to see me?" Hitoshi asked. Tsunade told him what he had to do and gave him the map. "Follow this route, they're following the exact same route." Hitoshi nodded and quickly left.

With Kazuki and Kazuo

'Let's hope we won't get attacked.' Kazuo thought. 'My right hand is useless right now... without it, I can't even make handsigns...'
