Shadows of the Past (sequel to: I'm Kakashi's Daughter?!)

Third person pov

Ayame, Kazuki and Kyioe were all placed in the third division, who did close and mid ranged attacks. They were standing near Sakura and Lee, Sakura beingbbusy healing Gai. "Kazuki." Ayame told Kazuki. "I need to tell you something."

"What is it?" Kazuki asked.

"They'll most likely be using Edo Tensei to let us be attacked by dead people. I need to know or you'll be able to fight Kazuo."

"Wh-what do you mean?! Th-the dead can't be revived!" Kazuki replied.

"Kazuki. Their movements will be under control by Kabuto. They might have their emotions and memories, but they won't be able to make their own decisions or they attack or not." Ayame told Kazuki. "Now what's your answer?"

"I'll just have to keep in mind that--"

"Hey! Weren't you once an Akatsuki member?" someone from Suna asked. "Are you going to betray us?"

"No. I hate the remaining Akatsuki members and Kabuto more than anything." Ayame replied. "I'll protect my comrades no matter what."

"Even if it--"

"Yes, even if it means my death. I've lost too many already."

"That's something we all share as shinobi. The will to protect our friends and comrades." Kyioe blended in.

"Wise words, Kyioe-chan!" Kazuki said.

The ninja from Suna nodded. "Were you involved in getting the Jinchuuriki?" he asked Ayame.

"No." Ayame replied. "All I did was bounty hunting and training, actually."

In all divisions, shinobi from other villages were arguing with each other, seeing that they used to be enemies. Gaara interrupted and gave a speech to make them stop fighting. After his speech, they stopped and started being nice to each other. "Sorry for being accusing you that you would betray us." the nin from Suna told Ayame.

"It's fine, I understand." Ayame replied.

The third division followed their captain, being cautious for enemies. They saw the fifth division being attacked by a group of reanimated shinobi from different villages. Two of them being from Konoha. They jumped in front of them to prevent them from hitting the fifth division. Kakashi was facing Zabuza, Lee was facing Haku, Kazuki was facing Kazuo and Ayame was facing Hitomi.

"Who would've thought..." Hitomi muttered. "I would have to fight my own daughter."

Ayame's eyes widened when she realized she was standing in front of her mother and that Kazuki was standing in front of Kazuo. Kakashi's eyes widened too when he recognized Hitomi.

"Nii-san..." Kazuki muttered, staring at Kazuo.

"Everyone, look out! One of them possesses the lava element, one of them the Sharingan and the other the ice element." Kakashi warned the group.

"That's Pakura from Suna, she said, pointing at Pakura. "She has the flame element."

"And that's Gari of the explosion release, from Iwa." an Iwa nin pointed out.

"I never thought I would have to face you again, Kakashi." Zabuza said. "That kunoichi of yours have grown a lot."

"Kazuki, we need to lure Kazuo out of here, or else he might end up being a trouble to everyone." Ayame told Kazuki. Kazuki nodded, but didn't understand why. "Seeing his Kekkei Genkai, he could turn the entire battlefield into lava."

"You mean..." Kazuki muttered.

"Yes, they have the same abilities they had when they were alive." Kyioe said.

Ayame nodded. "That's right Kyioe. Kazuki, we should handle Kazuo and my mom. Let the others deal with the rest of the reanimated shinobi."

Kazuki nodded. "Why us by the way?"

"Sharingan vs Sharingan, lava vs lava, seems fair to me. Or we could use our teamwork of course."

Kazuo started making handsigns to create lava. "Everyone! Jump on a rock or something! Kazuki, try to stop the lava!" Kakashi said.

Kazuki nodded and made a wall of earth, surrounding Kazuo. But the lava leaked out and was making its way towards Kazuki. "I'm sorry, onee-san, but I can't control my body."

Ayame was busy defending herself against Hitomi's blades. Hitomi was busy fighting Haku, using her own ice to stop him. Ayame almost hit the lava, but made a shadow clone and pushed herself away. She landed on a rock, releasing chakra to stay put on the rock. "Mom, I don't want to fight you..." she muttered. Her mother had her Sharingan activated and was looking for her chakra.

"Katon, Gokakyu no jutsu." Ayame heard and a huge fireball was sent her way.

'Fuck!' she thought. "Suiton, water wall!" A wall of water protected Ayame from Hitomi's fire jutsu. In the meanwhile, the rest of the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist had been summoned and Zabuza had used his Mist technique.

'Fuck. In this mist, we won't be able to see a thing!'

"Kazuki, trust your sense of hearing and your chakra and heat sensing." Kazuo said before attacking him, being controlled by Kabuto. 'If I kill them off, they won't be that much of a problem to me... I'll tell Hikaru that it was an accident if they die...' Kabuto thought. (A/N: I really hate that guy btw...)

Kyioe was busy making sure she wasn't hit by one of the swords or Kazuo's lava. Kazuki was doing quite well, stopping Kazuo's lava with his own. "Where's Ayame-san?" Lee asked out of the blues. He was also busy fighting with Pakura.

"I don't know. With this mist, no one can see a thing!" Kyioe said. Shinobi after shinobi were killed by the swordsmen, while Kakashi was executing a plan with two other shinobi to seal Zabuza's movements. That way, the jutsu would be released and they would have the advantage again.

When they were done sealing Zabuza, they heard a female scream, followed by cursing. 'Ayame!' Kakashi thought in a state of panick. He ran towards the source and saw Hitomi with a blade with blood in her hand and tears in her eyes. In front of her lay Ayame, her right hand covering her right eye. Hitomi attacked her again, but Ayame quickly grabbed one of het own blades and blocked the attack, though it didn't seem like she could hold on a lot longer...

Cliffhanger!

I'm such a cruel human being, I know. But it's like, almost 12 PM here and I have to go to school tomorrow :( That means waking up at 7 AM... *sigh*
