Third person pov

'This should be enough space to use that jutsu...' Ayame thought when she and Kazuki had reached an open area in the forest. "Kazuki, please get behind me. My jutsu still isn't perfect, so if you get in the way, I might accidently hurt you." Ayame said. Kazuki didn't want to do nothing, but he eventually agreed.

"Well, well, you're kinda stupid for getting further away from your men." Hikaru said before he appeared out of the shadows.

Ayame smirked before quickly making handsigns. Her hands went to fast for Hikaru to read them, but that didn't stop him from staying confident. "Raiton, Chidori ohare!" Ayame exclaimed before lightning fell down from the sky. She and Kazuki jumped back to make sure they weren't hit.

When the smoke cleared, Hikaru stepped out, bruiced by the attack. "What?! That should've killed you!" Ayame exclaimed, not understanding how Hikaru had survived her jutsu.

"Don't underestimate me, Hatake. I warned you, didn't I?" Hikaru said with a smirk.

"What's up with you? Why aren't you dead?" Ayame asked frustated. "That technique should have killed you!"

Hikaru's smirk grew wider. "You foolish little girl, you shouldn't be so overconfident."

'I need to figure out his weakness and use it against him..." Ayame thought.

"Doton, layered earth prison." Hikaru said and Ayame was surrounded by multiple layers of earth.

'I need to help Ayame!' Kazuki thought, but Hikaru was glaring at him, aiming to hit him unconcious. "Let her go!" Kazuki exclaimed.

"Why would I? I'm too close to my goal to give up on it now." Hikaru said with a smirk.

'All I want is to wipe that smirk off his face, once and for all...' Kazuki thought. "Whay kind of technique is that anyway?"

"By the time she gets out, you'll be defeated and she won't have enough chakra left to fight me."

While Kazuki and Hikaru were in a fierce taijutsu match, Ayame was struggling to get out of the earth.

'FUCK! How many layers does this fucking prison have?!' she thought frustated. Whenever she used chidori, she was only able to destroy one layer. 'What's up with this jutsu? Earth is weak to lightning, why is there so little damage?'

"Take some of my chakra and make your chidori stronger." Hiroshi told her.

Ayame took some of Hiroshi's chakra and made the chidori as strong as it could be. Multiple layers were destroyed and the last layer was starting to crumble.

"Yoton, Lava dragon!" Kazuki exclaimed and a huge stone dragon, which could split lava stood next to him.

Hikaru rose his eyebrows, but his eyes widened when he realized his earth prison was alrrady starting to crumble. He was dodging every single attack the dragon launched at him, not getting any chances to make the earth prison stronger. Ayame stepped out of the prison and stood next to Kazuki. "Kazuki, are you all right?" she asked.

Kazuki nodded slowly. "A bit tired, that's all." he replied.

"I've got an idea how to beat him, but keep your dragon activated for later." Ayame told him. "I'll tell you my plan when we're away from him."

"I'll have my dragon distract him while we hide somewhere." Kazuki said before giving the orders to the dragon. The dragon nodded and started attacking Hikaru more fierce now. In the meanwhile, Ayame and Kazuki hid in the bushes, where Ayame told Kazuki her plan.

* * * * *

"Are you sure you've got enough chakra left?" Kazuki asked.

Ayame nodded in reply. "Let's take him down, once and for all." she said.

Ayame and Kazuki both made shadow clones and surrounded Hikaru. They threw kunai with explosive tags from all directions, including from above. Hikaru couldn't block them all, so he made a protective dome of earth to protect him. After the explosions, while the smoke hadn't cleared yet, Ayame used chidori to hit Hikaru through his dome. It was her strongest chidori yet, using Hiroshi's chakra. When the smoke cleared, the dome had been destroyed and Ayame's hand went right through Hikaru's chest. Ayame removed her hand and Hikaru fell down, in a nearly death state. "You're not one of my failed experients after all... you two are the first succes I've achieved..." Hikaru muttered. "By the way, your mother's body is in possesion of Kabuto... Ayame." After saying that, he closed his eyes and greeted death with a smile.

"It's finally over." Kazuki said, signing his dragon to come to him.

"Kazuki, you should head back to the group. I've got the feeling they're going to need you." Ayame muttered. "I'll handle Kabuto on my own."

"Ayame, are you in--"

"I know what I'm doing, Kazuki. Don't forget I've got a lot of chakra left, while your chakra levels are going to be drained soon."

"We've been fighting till nightfall, what do you expect?" Kazuki asked. "But I won't let you fight Kabuto alone."

"Trust me. I know I can make him stop his jutsu and then get rid of him." Ayame said. "I won't die just yet."

"Let's stay here for the night first. We'll continue this conversation tomorrow." Kazuki stated. "I'll take the first watch."

Ayame nodded and sat down against a tree.  She closed her eyes and fell asleep soon after.

With Kakashi

"What?!" Kakashi exclaimed when he heard about Ayame and Kazuki being out of reach.

"I'm sorry, Kakashi-heichoo." the sensory type said. "I tried to sense their chakra, bit they weren't within my sensing range."

Kakashi looked down. For now, he had to believe in Ayame's and Kazuki's abilities and teameork. He had to believe they could defeat that guy and come back alive.

With Ayame and Kazuki

After a while, Kazuki woke Ayame up because she had to watch over. Ayame focussed on sensing enemy chakra and looked around. When it was almost light, she sensed two chakra signatures, belonging to Naruto and Bee. Kazuki woke up too and stared at Ayame. "What's wrong, Kazuki?" Ayame asked, but they were interrupted by Naruto and Bee finding them.

"Look who we got here, it's Ayame Hatake." Bee rapped. "Who's that guy?" he asked, pointing at Kazuki, who didn't know who Bee was either.

"Bee, this is Kazuki, Kazuki, that's Bee." Ayame said. "Naruto, I see you learned to control the Ninetails."

"Ayame, did you think about it?" Kazuki asked, referring to her saying he should go back and let her handle Kabuto.

"Kazuki, please believe in me. I can do it. You're needed by the rest, I think they don't have many medical ninja's and you're a good fighter too." Ayame replied. "I'm not very easy to kill."

Kazuki looked down, but nodded. "I'll believe in you." he said before giving her a friendly hug. "Please come back alive." he told her before stepping on the stone dragon and flying off.

'I'll come back alive, I promise.' Ayame thought.
