Ayame's pov
"I'm not letting you leave!" dad said when I said I wanted to go and find Kabuto. The swordsmen had disappeared again after a long fight.
"Dad! I won't just stand here and do nothing! I'm not going to let my comrades die anymore! If I take down Kabuto with Kazuki, this--" I shot back, but he interrupted me.
"Ayame, I'm not going to let you fight him." dad stated. "Forget it."
"You think I can't take him, don't you?" I said. "I'm telling you, I know I can--
"That's not it! Now listen to me!" dad told me.
"Ayame-san." I heard a voice behind me. Lee. "What are you arguing about?"

Kazuki's pov
We had eventually got permission to leave and find Kabuto, if we brought along more men. On our way, we ran into a large group of shinobi. They weren't Zetsu or Edo Tensei, they were just human. They didn't wear a headband, so I didn't know what village they were from. "Who are you?" one of our men asked.
"Ayame Hatake and Kazuki Hayashi? It'a time for you to come with us to Hikaru-sama. If you're obedient, then we'll--"
Ayame kicked him in his stomach. "What if I say no?"
"Then I'll knock you unconcious and take you with me. I was promised that I would get you two when this war was over, but I don't trust that Tobi and Kabuto at all." Hikaru said, before stepping out of the shadows, revealing his face. He had a large scar covering half of his face, brown eyes and purple hair.
"Ayame-san, Kazuki-san, do you know him?" one of our men asked.
I shook my head. "I have never seen him before." I stated.
"Oh yeah, that's right, I have never shown you my face. I always let others talk and see you when you're awake." Hikaru said. "Be thankful, without my experimenting on you, you would have never gotten the Sharingan, Ayame Hatake."
"Where's Kabuto?" Ayame asked him. "Tell us and leave us alone, or I'll I kill you."
"Throwing lame excuses?" Hikaru said with a smirk. "You know you can't win."
"I'LL WIPE THAT SMIRK OF YOUR FACE, YOU BASTARD!" I yelled. "FOR KAZUO! FOR KYIOE!"
Hikaru started laughing. "Are you joking? If you would just come with me, you won't die." he said.
"You bastard..." Ayame muttered. "I'll make you feel sorry for underestimating us."
"Hikaru-sama. Are they being serious?" one of Hikaru's men joked.
I glared at Ayame and saw she had her Sharingan activated. She glared at me and nodded. 'We'll show them where our teamwork takes us!' I thought. I released lava while Ayame threw a fireball at them.
"If you insist on violence..." Hikaru muttered. "I'll beat you to a pulp."
"You'll be the one beaten to a pulp." Ayame said from above him, landing a punch from above. Hikaru blocked it last minute.
"Don't like showing off?" Hikaru asked.
"Shut up." Ayame replied.
All of our men were dealing with Hikaru's men while Ayame and I were fighting Hikaru himself. He was really strong and we were having problems fighting him. After something that felt like an hour, I was already exhausted. 'Dammit...' I thought. 'I can't give up just now...'
"Kazuki. Stay back. You're chakra levels are running low." Ayame warned me. "I'll show him what I've got and it'll be the last thing he'll ever see."
