Shadows of the Past (sequel to: I'm Kakashi's Daughter?!)

Preperations of war

A/N: Because I'm lazy, I'm skipping the fighting scene between Kisame and everyone else. At the end of the fight, Kisame died, but he was able to send the information he had gathered to Tobi.

On with the story!

After their fight with Kisame, they had to think of something to keep Naruto from leaving the island. They had already heard this island was actually just a giant turtle. "What are we going to say?" Ayame asked Tenzou, Gai, Aoba, Bee and Motoi. "We know he isn't the smartest, but he has grown up, right?"

"If we don't say anything, he'll think it's suspicious." Tenzou said. "So what do we tell him?"

"Naruto, this is a top secret S-rank mission to gather an animal corps as preparation for the war. Naruto Uzumaki, the Jinchuu-- animal lover is selected for this mission." Aoba said, holding an empty scroll in front of him. At first, Naruto didn't react at all, making the rest think he didn't believe it.

"I KNEW THIS DAY WOULD COME! WHEN GRANNY TSUNADE WOULD FINALLY ACKNOWLEDGE MY LEADERSHIP SKILLS!" Naruto suddenly said.

The rest sighed in relief. "Luckily, he believed that..." Ayame muttered.

Naruto asked Bee who were the strongest on the island and Bee told him to go to King-chan, a giant gorilla, who wasn't cute or small at all. The rest was talking with each other when Naruto returned with a lot of animals. "This way!" he told them, pointing at the opening of the hiding place for Naruto and Bee.

After a while, Naruto was checking or the animals were male or female. "Does that really matter?" Ayame asked sarcastically. "That's a bit insulting to me..."

Suddenly, the 'island' flipped over, due to Deidara's explosion. "WHAT'S HAPPENING?!" Naruto exclaimed.

Tenzou used his wood style to make sure they wouldn't land that hard. "What was that?" Aoba questioned, while he was holding a very sick looking Gai.

"I'm going outside." Naruto stated. "I want to know what's happening."

"Don't." Ayame aid.

"Why not?" Naruto asked.

"You have to carry out this mission, don't you? We'll check it out." Ayame lied easily. Living with S-rank criminals had improved her lying a lot.

"Oh right, of course!" Naruto said.

Ayame, Tenzou, Motoi and Aoba left to check it out. When they came there, they saw a flipped over turtle, Kabuto and a girl from Iwa. "Just in time to tell me where the Kyuubi is." Kabuto said.

"No way we're telling you, you son of a bitch." Ayame replied.

The girl grom Iwa - the Tsuchikage's granddaughter, Kurotsuchi - made sure Kabuto couldn't move anymore. "Now, let's get some intel." Aoba said. Tenzou made a bridge for Aoba so he could reach Kabuto without being stuck in the glue. Before he could get intel, Kabuto gagged himself up and headed for Tenzou. Ayame wanted to protect him, but she was hold by one of Kabuto's snakes.

"Kabuto... You're so fucking dead." Ayame said before freeing herself by releasing chakra and pushing the snake away. She tried to hit Kabuto, but he was fleeing, still having Tenzou. Even the girl from Iwa couldn't stop him with her jutsu.

"That guy.... Next time I see him, I'm going to kill him. Maybe torture him before the actual killing part. Everyone who takes away my comrades will be punished." Ayame said angrily.

In the Akatsuki hideout

"You didn't get the Kyuubi." Tobi told Kabuto.

"Well, I did take him." Kabuto said, showing him Tenzou. "I'll use him to make Zetsu stronger. 

Tobi nodded. "Now explain what this man is doing here." He pointed at a masked man with brown eyes and ash blonde hair.

"My name is Hikaru. I'll help you win this war if I can have the Hatake and Hayashi brats in the end." the man said.

Tobi glared at the man. "What do you want to do with them?"

"They were my experiments, but they escaped. It's only right for me to ask them back, because they belong to me." Hikaru replied.

"How could you help us?" Black Zetsu asked Hikaru.

"I'll offer you manpower. I know you already have the Edo Tensei and that guy's clones, but the more manpower, the better, right?" Hikaru said with a smirk. He threw two bottles with a red substance to Kabuto. One of them said Hitomi Uchiha and the other said Kazuo Hayashi. "You need two living bodies and the blood of the soul you're resurrecting, am I right?" he stated. "In those bottles is the blood of both of them. I'm sure they'll come in handy."

"How about the bodies?" Kabuto asked.

Hikaru smirked and signed someone to come his way. He was carrying an unconcious man and an unconcious woman. "Use them, they're useless anyway."

Kabuto used the Edo Tensei to create the bodies and put them in boxes, which disappeared underneath the ground. "Their abilities and relation with the enemy will certainly come in handy." Hikaru said. "Seeing Hitomi Uchiha was the wife of Kakashi Hatake."

* * * *. *

"We'll win this war for sure." Tobi said. "White Zetsu's, set out." Tobi ordered and the White Zetsu's walked away in a large group, aiming to attack the Allied Shinobi Forces.

Kabuto used the Edo Tensei and said who was who. The Edo Tensei bodies moved out, controlled by Kabuto. Kabuto had sent Hitomi and Kazuo with Zabuza and Haku from the Hidden Mist, Pakura from the Hidden Sand and Gari from the Hidden Stone.
