Shadows of the Past (sequel to: I'm Kakashi's Daughter?!)

To the Land of Lightning part 2

Recap:

Ayame was sent on a mission to learn controling Hiroshi, while she already did. They had a lot of trouble on the road: a ghost ship, pirates and a summoning animal island. There was also something with mushrooms (A/N wow, great explanation, I know...)

Back to the story!

Shikamaru and Tenten had joined us when we left from an island, where we had bought supplies. We stored them on the ship and left.

We had run into trouble, seeing there were some guys who wanted to steal everything valuable we had on our ship, which was nothing, really. We just had food and some money, that was all.

We escaped, with help from Shikamaru and Tenten. Gai-sensei, Tenzou-sensei and Naruto had totally drained their chakra and after having to do the same thing over and over again.

After the incident, Shikamaru and Tenten left again. They went back to the village. It was nice having them around for a while, though... Now I was the only girl around here again too...

* * * * *

"Naruto, I'll shall tell you how my rivalry with Kakashi started!" Gai told Naruto. I was laying on the deck, looking at the stars because I couldn't sleep.

"You really don't have to, Bushy Brow-sensei." Naruto said, but Gai-sensei told him anyway. In the middle of his story, I fell asleep, I had heard this story a lot of times already.

I woke up from a lot of noise. I heard a giant splash from the other side of the ship. I stood up and walked towards the other side. I looked around and saw Gai-sensei fighting my dad, Tenzou-sensei and Aoba. I quickly ran towards them and demanded to know what Gai-sensei was doing. "Gai-sensei, what the fuck are you doing?"

"That Kakashi is an imposter!" Gai exclaimed.

"You're sure?" I questioned. "He seems like the real one to me." I walked towards him and stood next to Tenzou-sensei. "Did he drink something?" I asked him.

Tenzou-sensei shook his head. "Not that I know..."

"All right then, I'll tell them something only I could know." dad said. He signed me, Tenzou-sensei and Aoba to come closer.

Aoba and Tenzou-sensei bursted out in laughter and I chuckled. "Did he seriously show you that?" I asked, with some chuckles in between.

"Is it really the size of an acorn?" Tenzou-sensei questioned. Gai-sensei deadpanned, obviously embaressed.

"Should I tell Lee about it?" I thought out loud.

"I WAS YOUNG!" Gai-sensei exclaimed. "AND DON'T YOU DARE!"

The next day

Third person pov

After the long trip with a lot of problems, one of them being that Naruto was almost forced to marry someone, they finally were close to the island. They met up with a man who was going t be their guide to the island.

"WHAAAT?!" Naruto exclaimed. "The old toad described the island as a paradise!"

"Maybe it's a paradise for toads?" Ayame comemented. "If it's a paradise for toads, it doesn't have to be a paradise for humans."

"BUT--" Naruto said, but he was cut off by Ayame.

"Sorry Naruto, but you can't beat my logic." Ayame stated with a smirk.

Naruto grumbled something, but he was interrupted by the guide. "Now listen. All animals on the island won't attack you, unless you mean harm to them. There's only one exeption though--" He couldn't finish his sentence, due to the arrival of a giant squid.

"OCTOPUS!" Naruto exclaimed before he started counting its tentacles.

"Naruto, are you stupid?! It's a fucking squid!" Ayame told him before focussing on the squid, who was attacking them. One of its tentacles grabbed Tenzou. Before the squid could eat him, it was punched by a giant octopus.

Naruto counted its tentacles. "Octopus!" he said happily. "That octopus's gonna help me!"

The octopus transformed into Bee, the Jinchuuriki of the Hachibi. "I'm Killer Bee, you dumbass phonies!" he rapped.

'Seriously, rapping?' Ayame thought. 'This is going to be like hell...'

*Timeskip no jutsu!*

Ayame didn't really do a lot during the time on the island. After Hiroshi had begged to be free for a while, she said yes and let him swim around in the ocean near her. After a while, they heard a loud noise. "Hiroshi, what's going on?!" Ayame asked Hiroshi.

"Seems like that annoying squid came back." Hiroshi replied.

Ayame nodded. "Let's go there." She ha d fought the squid a couple of times before, when it would attack her while she was relaxing near the water. She went there with Hiroshi and saw that that Motoi guy was being hold by the squid.

"I hate squids..." Hiroshi muttered.

"Then let's kick its ass." Ayame told him, but before they could help Motoi, the squid was already being taken down by Bee in Hachibi form. 'Geez, why do other people always take away my chances to do something to help?' Ayame thought. 'I could've taken that squid down, ya know?'

After Naruto had fought the Kyuubi, Gai and Aoba decided to join the rest near the Waterfall of Truth. Ayame and Motoi were there, talking with each other about something. "Hey Gai-sensei." Ayame said, raising her hand without looking back at them.

"So this waterfall shows you your true self?" Gai asked. Ayame nodded. "Then I'll do it too!" he continued while running towards the little island. "Your true self will comr out of the waterfall, right?"

"I doubt your true self is even human." Aoba joked.

"Who knows? We won't be able to see it." Ayame said.

Gai closed his eyes, standing in front of the waterfall. Out of the waterfall came a shark-like creature with spikes. Gai screamed, thinking he was facing his true self. "Gai-san! That isn't your true self!" Aoba told him.

Ayame looked closer and recognized him. "That's Kisame Hoshigaki." she said. "I was already wondering how Bee got his hands on Samehada. I think I understand now."

I updated again! I'll try to update next chappy tonight or tomorrow or whatever... as soon as possible.

Question: Least favourite shipping?

Mine would be SasuSaku, they just don't go well together. I'd rather see Sasugay with Naruto, ya know.... (I do ship NaruHina though, I'm really weird, I'm aware of that.)

By the way, if you've got any questions about her mother, herself, Kazuki, Kazuo or their enemy, feel free to ask. I'll amswer all of your questions unless it will be revealed later in the story.
