Ayame's pov

We followed Deiraito and Yoru, who were trying to find my father by scent. When we foundhim, we saw he was with Naruto, Tenzou-sensei and Sai. "Hey, dad." I said calmly after we all stood in front of them.

"Ayame? I thought you were going to--" dad startled.

"My plans were disturbed a bit..." I muttered. "But anyways, we've got news." We told them what happened at the summit and about what decisions I had made for Konoha.

"Sasuke did that?" Tenzou-sensei questioned.

"Naruto, even though Sasuke is my cousin, my job as the new Hokage is to protect you and the Eight Tails. If Sasuke decides to arrive at the battlefield, I won't be able to show any mercy. I'm afraid Gaara thinks the same."

Gaara nodded. "We said everything we needed to tell you." Temari popped in. "Let's go Gaara."

Gaara told Naruto he saw him as a friend and that it used to be just a word to him. "Ask yourself what you can do for Sasuke." he said. "Let's go." We left Tenzou-sensei, dad and Naruto alone and headed towards Suna.

*Timeskip*

Gaara's pov

I looked out the window, from which you could see the balcony. Ayame was standing on the balcony, staring in the distance. "You like her, don't you?" I suddenly heard a voice behind me.

"What you're doing now, is concidered stalking..." another voice muttered. The voices belonged to Ayame's summons, who were staring at me.

"Come on, go outside and tell her, love bird!" the white one said.

"Deiraito's right for this one time." Yoru said. "You don't have to worry about the war all the time, you know. You look like you need a break." Before I knew it, the two dogs pushed me outside and signed me to go to her. I walked towards her and stood next to her, her dogs wouldn't let me go inside again anyway.

"Don't you need some sleep?" I asked Ayame.

Ayame shook her head. "I can't sleep, I keep thinking about what happened earlier today."

"Come on and kiss the girl..." a deep voice sung. Ayame looked around to see the source.

"Come on and kiss the girl..." I now heard two voices. Those summons of her truly didn't give me a lot of choices.

I looked at Ayame and saw her face was completely red. "Those summons of mine truly know how to make me feel me embaressed..." she muttered.

"Now's the moment..." her summons continued.

I took a deep breath and turned to her. "Ayame, do you still... love me?" I asked, but I immediately regretted it.

Ayame's eyes widened in surprise. "..." she opened her mouth to say sonething again, but she immediately closed it again and her face got even redder. "...yes." she said softly. "Why... why did you ask?"

"I... I was just wondering..." I muttered with a red face.

"Come on and kiss the girl..."

I gave her a kiss on her cheek.

"You call that a kiss?" one of the voices said. "Put some more feeling into it!"I held my hand under her head and kussed her on the mouth. At first, she didn't react at all but she kissed back after a while.

"Now, that's a kiss!" I suddenly heard a familiar voice. Ayame and I broke the kiss and looked at Temari and Kankuro.

"Great job, guys!" Kankuro told the dogs.
