Shadows of the Past (sequel to: I'm Kakashi's Daughter?!)

Disaster strikes

Ayame's pov

It was a peaceful day in Konoha, Gai and his team were on a mission, the Hyuuga's from the main branch (minus Hinata) were having a meeting somewhere else and Naruto was training senjutsu with frogs.

I was walking with my dad through town, when I suddenly heard an explosion. "What was that?!" my dad asked. "Is the village under attack?!"

We went towards the source, and saw one of Pein's bodies. I wanted to face him, but dad stopped me. "Fighting him is foolish, don't you know what happened to Jiraya-sama when he faced him?"

I shook my head. "He's alone, we should use that as our advantage!" I hissed at  him. "Jiraya was facing all six of them at the same time." I activated my Sharingan and removed the hair from my left eye. "Besides, he only has one ability."

Dad nodded. "Be careful." 

"I always am." I replied calmly before jumping down.

After a while, I had retreated, but after a while, I saw another one. This one had long, straight hair. 'What ability does this one use?' I wondered. I soon found out this one uses a technique that can read minds. "Where's Naruto Uzumaki?" he asked. 

I shook my head. "Even if I would know that, I'll never sell out a comrade." I said. "If you want to know what I know about it, you'll have to fight me." 

The man nodded before attacking me with his weird weapons. I dodged all of them, but it started getting difficult after a while. 'I need to get to a place where I can use my perfected jutsu!' I thought. I tried to get him to an open spot, which I found shortly after. One of Pein's bodies was laying lifeless on the ground, and I saw my father - well, his head - looking like he was dead. I also saw Chouji and his father. "Raiton: Chidori ohare!" I exclaimed. A storm of lightning fell down upon the man with long, orange hair. "Heh, take that!" I muttered with a smirk. 

My eyes widened when he got up again. 'What?! That didn't kill him?!'

"Katon: Gokakyu no Jutsu!" I said after making the correct handsigns. A giant fireball went towards the man, but he dodged it. 'Damn it, he dodged it!' I thought.

He kicked me and I was sent flying. I landed on a pile of rocks. I stood up and stared at him. "I'm not giving up that easily... Kage bunshin no jutsu!" Multiple shadow clones appeared to attack him from different angles. He dodged all of them and they all poofed away because they hit each other. "Futon: Kazekiri!" A giant blade of wind formed and hit the man, but he didn't seem to be damaged at all. 'What?! All my attacks should have killed him!' I thought.

My eyes widened when I felt something going through my chest. I looked into that direction and saw his weapon going through me. 'If I'm going to die anyway, I can better use that technique after all...' 

I closed my eyes, and focused my chakra. When I opened them again, my Mangenkyo Sharingan was activated and blood was coming from my eyes. "AMATERASU!" I exclaimed. The man was caught in black flames and his sword left my body.  

"AYAME!" I heard Chouji yell. 

"Ayame..." my dad muttered softly, I almost couldn't hear it. 

I fell down. "I guess this is the end for me... At least I didn't like like a burden..." I tried to look up, and saw that the man was almost completely burned down by the flames I created. "I'm sorry... Kazuo...dad..." I muttered before rolling over to lay on my back and closing my eyes. "Farewel..."

"Ayame! Don't die!" Hiroshi said.

"I'm... sorry... Hiroshi..." I muttered. "No one... can... help... me... anymore..."

Kakashi's pov

"I guess this is the end for me..." I heard Ayame softly murmur. "At least I didn't die like a burden..."

Tears formed in my eyes. "I'm sorry... Kazuo... dad..." Ayame muttered before she rolled over to lay on her back and closed her eyes. "Farewel..."

I noticed Chouji crying about his father. "Chouji, crying comes later." I told him. "You need to inform Hokage-sama about his ability."

Chouji nodded with tears in his eyes. "Hai, Kakashi-sensei!" he replied before standing up. I saw the body I thought I killed, attacking Chouji with a rocket.

"Chouji, run!" I exclaimed. Chouji ran off, but was followed by the rocket. 'This'll be my last move. After preforming this technique, my chakra levels will be completely empty. But I need to protect my comrades and make sure Hokage-sama hears about Pein's ability...' I thought before activating my Mangenkyo and making the rocket go to anoter dimension.

Kazuki's pov

I looked around and saw Ayame laying down with blood coming from her eye and her mouth. Katsuya was sitting on top of her. "AYAME!" I exclaimed before running into her direction. "Katsuya, how bad is it?" I asked Katsuya.

"She's dead." Katsuya replied. "We can't help her anymore."

Tears started to well up. "Kakashi-sensei too?" I asked when I saw him unconscious. Katsuya nodded. I gritted my teeth. "Dammit, first Kazuo, and now Ayame!" I said angrily. I noticed someone had joined me, Hitoshi. He truly had become a great and loyal addition to Konoha.

"Kazuki, we need your help to heal the wounded." he said. "We need to make sure she didn't die in vain."

I nodded. "Of course, lead the way." I said after wiping my tears away. "We should at least bring hers and Kakashi-sensei's body to somewhere safe!"

Hey peoplez

I updated, even though I said I probably wouldn't (my procastination is getting worse, I guess...). I'm also terribly sorry for pretty much neglecting this story, I just didn't have inspiration, while I had so many inspirations for other fanfictions! (So many ideas, so little time...)

I'm also sorry for the feels (if you're also an emotional wrack who cries easily like me)
