Ending the war

Kazuo's pov

All the previous Hokage had come to the battle field. I stood by Naruto and Sakura with Kazuki. "This chakra..." I muttered when I sensed all too familiar chakra.

Suddenly, Sasuke landed in front of us, followed by two others. One of them was a girl and the other one was a guy. The girl was Ayame and the guy was Itachi Uchiha. "How..." I muttered.

"Sorry we're late, we had something to take care of first." Ayame asked, glaring behind her. Her eyes widened when she saw me, alive and well. "Kazuo?" she asked with a surprised tone in her voice. "So, what happened while I was gone?"

Sasuke...kun?" Sakura muttered. "What are you doing here with Ayame and...?"

"I don't know how it's possible either..." Ayame muttered, rubbing her head.

*timeskip no jutsu* (because you already know what happened. I'm not going to let Ayame and Itachi interfere with team 7's teamwork, sorry.)

Ayame's pov

"Itachi! We need to burn it down!" I told Itachi, referring to the huge tree in front of us. Naruto and Sasuke were fighting Obito together and we could do nothing to help. Itachi and I both activated our Sharingans and used Ameterasu on the tree. While the black flames were spreading all over the tree, others were trying to cut the tree.

"You used up a lot of chakra, and not only yours." Hiroshi told me. "I'm afraid there's nothing you can do anymore for a while."

"I know." I told him. "If I use any more chakra I will die."

"Ayame, are you all right?" Itachi asked, seeming worried.

"After all that usage of my Sharingan, from using Susanoo to using Ameterasu has surely drained a lot of chakra. I can't use any more." I replied. "But I've got enough left to survive."

Itachi nodded. "You need to rest." he said. "Trust your comrades."

"I've got faith in them. Just like I've got faith in Naruto and Sasuke." I said, nodding. Suddenly, a piece of the tree attacked us, but we both couldn't do anything.

"Chidori!" we suddenly heard a familiar voice while lightning pierced through the wood dragon.

"Great timing, tou-chan." I said.

Kakashi looked at me with a worried expression. "Are you all right?" he asked.

I nodded. "It sucks that I can't help out for a while, though."

"Kuso! Ayame! Your Ameterasu isn't spreading fast enough!" Kazuo said, pointing at the tree. The flames were slowly reaching up, but the flower on top of the tree was already beginning to bloom.

"Kuso..." I muttered. "We don't have time for this..."

"Kazuki! I need you to heal Ayame!" Kazuo cried out before Kazuki ran towards me, using his medical ninjutsu on me.

"Arigato, Kazuki." I said with a light smile. "I already feel much better."

While Kazuki continued healing, I noticed Naruto's chakra was forming a cloak around my body, just like Itachi, Kazuo and Kazuki had. I immediately felt my chakra increasing.

*timeskip no jutsu*

Naruto and Sasuke had taken Obito down, but when dad tried to kill him, he was stopped by the Fourth Hokage. He told Kakashi he should be the one to lecture Obito, instead of Naruto. He told Naruto to go help sealing Madara away. 'This chakra... it's Zetsu's!' I thought as soon as I sensed his chakra underneath the ground. I tried to find his exact location, so I knew where to use my Chidori. When I found it, I used my chakra to try and go right through him, but that didn't work. Black Zetsu got out of the ground, but was unharmed. "You're quite clever, Ayame." he said. "But do you really think that's enough to kill me?"

"I was hoping for it." I replied, while pulling out my blades. I attacked him a lot, but he dodged it. 'I just need to make sure he doesn't reach Obito, a revived Madara would be a nightmare.' We fought like that for a while, both not able to give the other a fatal wound. "Guess I'll have to go to plan B, then." I said with a smirk before using Ameterasu on him. While Zetsu's body was burning, I noticed my eyesight had worsened. When I deactivated my Sharingan, my vision was very blurry.

"AYAME!" I heard two voices call out at the same time. Those voices I heard obviously belonged to Kazuki and Kazuo. Since I couldn't see anything clearly, I was thrown on the ground while they were trying to hug me.

"Your vision has worsened, hasn't it?" Kazuo asked. "Or else you wouldn't have fallen on the ground like that."
"Yeah... I guess I have really overused my Mangenkyo, then...."

I stood up and looked around. I only could make up shapes and silhouettes, so it was hard to recognize anyone. "Ayame, Madara is sealed away and dead people are reviving!" Kazuki said happily.

"Like when Pein attacked the village?" I asked. "Who preformed that jutsu?"

"Obito did." dad replied. "He traded his own life for all those others."

"So, that means..." I trailed off. "He's dead and this war is over, right?"

"After all that fighting, it's finally over." Kazuo said. "We can soon return to our peaceful lives hopefully."

"Before I return to the village, I've got to do something first." I stated. "After all those years, I can finally bring my mother's body back to the Leaf."

"You know where her body is?" dad asked.

"Yes. Kabuto told us after Itachi forced him to do everything he said. If you want, you can come too. I'd be happy if you said yes."

"Of course I'll go with you." dad said. "She deserves a proper burial this time."

I sensed Naruto's, Gaara's Sasuke's and Itachi's chakra coming our way. "Dad, Sasuke will be coming too, he knows where that hideout is."

"When will we leave?" I heard Kazuki ask. "We'll go with you too!"

After we retrieved my mother's body, we took it back to the Leaf. Orochimaru had left it in quite a good stage. Even though we had something that had us first going back to the Leaf before retrieving her body, we had taken it back quite soon. During the burial, Gaara and his siblings were actually in the village, so was Youko (remember her?).

After burial

Gaara and his siblings had to leave and go back to their own village. "I'll visit as soon as possible, if I get the chance." I said before waving them off with a lot of others, including all the Rookie twelve.

Heey peoplezz!

I finally updated again, hope you liked it even though it was a bit sucky sometimes. There will be a few chapters (or just one) where Ayame is Hokage and a few chapters on what happened during her adult life.
