EPILOGUE

"Sweet, sweet fantasy baby when I close, my eyes you come and you take me," this song from the 90's was playing on my AirPods as I was walking down Orchard Road in Singapore. Kitchie Ng's contest had brought me here. After hibernating in my hometown for almost two decades, I am back in the big city again. I am now back to the real world. As I was crossing for ION Orchard, I saw a billboard of Lei See with Criselda on it. Gosh, she looked spectacular! I never heard what happened to her since their marriage separation with Lance and this was great news so I dialed WhatsApp for my best friend!

"Anj, please don't give me news of your fabulous life again," my best friend pleaded as she was holding her one-year old child on her hands.

"No, my life isn't that fabulous at all until now. Look what I found here!" I exclaimed showing her the billboard of the very stunning Criselda.

"What?!" my best friend gasped in surprise.

"Yes! Isn't she divine?" I said admiringly at the once-broken lady I talked with whom I felt guilty for mis-thinking that I was the cause of her misery.

"Now look at all the girls Lance took for granted," my best friend concluded. The last time we heard of Lance was he was with yet again another girl. Some people really don't have the care to change at all.

"James and I bumped into Mr. & Mrs. Gutierrez at the grocery store the other day," she changed the topic.

"So how were they doing?" I politely asked.

"As usual, they were always proud of their grandson who's running his own business now. The boy had a lot of growing up done after James left him for me. Haha," my best friend proudly said.

"That's great to hear," I said looking at the newly-released bag of Prada from the store's window. Well, I made the right decision for Tom. If I've had him for me back then, he would not be what he is today. "Alright, that's just all for today. I have to go now," I excused myself to take a closer look at the fabulous find in front of me. I have to get inside the store ASAP.

In a fraction of a second, my smartphone beeped a screenshot from my best friend. It was Mark Carlo and Yvonne in a relationship. "Good for them," I shrugged on my mind.

So in less than half an hour, I got to be reminded of my first love, my puppy love, and my stupid love. Oh, boys! Is it just me only hoping or are you the ones making me hope? That's supposed to be my whining! However, I came to a realization. Because I wanted to be a lot of things, I missed wanting to be the most important thing – being a girlfriend/wife/mother. So I was not attracting a relationship! In my mind I only desired to find and be with the one but deep down, I was more busily doing all sorts of things to experience what I haven't experienced in my teenage years, expand my career and have that fat bank account! So now, it's not them to blame. Although all of my love stories were a flop, I can console myself that it's OK because they are Adams of other Eves. And in due time, I will have my own Adam, too. The one who will not give me a flopped ending but an ordained beginning. In His time, I'm gonna have that relationship that honors Him. And for you who happen to have the same love story as mine, yes, you too have an Adam to be your very own!

And this seals another chapter of my love life. Not really a life 'coz I haven't had that something official just yet. Three boys had come my way but I really did not have any one of them. It was only "just so I thought", "just so I felt", "just so I experienced"! Poor, unfortunate me? Nah! Just as I've said, this is another THE END of the past I have to leave behind for that one true love to come my way! Until my Adam finds me!

And on that note, after buying this Prada bag, I'm gonna head to Gucci Ace Bee sneakers for my mom, Tita and my best friend. Gotta also get some insider finds for Mr. Angelio!
