"I love my life!" my one and only best friend even when she's drunk yelled as we helped her get into the car.
"Boys, thank you so much for your help but I can handle this," I shoved the boys next table away.
"Easy, breezy, Miss prissy. You can't help your friend alone. She's too wasted and you're also drunk to drive," the supporting friend of James said as he carefully held my friend's head as we put her in the backseat.
"Hand me the car key, I'll drive," James added.
"No!" I indignantly protested.
"Oh, come on! Tom, get into the front seat," James commanded his supporting friend as he took the key from my hand.
So, the supporting friend whom I was sitting with the rest of the night got his name. Tom. Tom as for Tommy? Tommy Hilfiger. Haha!
"You better be careful. I'm not yet done paying for this car!" I surrendered despite my objections and got into the backseat with my wasted best friend.
"Now, where to?" James asked.
"Third street, block 4 of Justice Village," I answered.
"Oh, really?" Tom suddenly shot a wicked smile to James.
"What's with that?" I asked in suspicion.
"I just live two blocks away from her!" James answered.
"So, what is this? Serendipity thingy for the two of you?" I mocked.
"Sort of like that!" Tom roared in laughter.
"Youngsters nowadays!" I sighed rolling my eyes.
As we pulled over my best friend's front door, we struggled getting her out from the car. She insisted getting out, babbled words, and puked. Luckily, it was James he puked onto. With that, he did not wait to get my best friend into her house anymore and hurriedly ran home for comfort.
"Oh, what a gentleman!" I shouted at his back.
"Don't mind him. He does that anyway. Leaving friends hanging in the air," Tom said while knocking at the door.
We finally got my best friend out of the car and side by side with her, Tom and I hoped for someone to open the door immediately.
"What happened?" my best friend's mom asked in shock upon seeing her wasted daughter.
"Sorry, Tita. We just celebrated something and she over drank," I explained.
"Please help me get her in," she requested.
After we deposited my best friend to her room, her mom offered us coffee but I declined.
"It's already too late, Tita and we're going to meet the Gutierrez's tomorrow. Kindly wake her up early please," I pleaded as she sent us out.
"Sure I will," my best friend's mom answered.
As I got back to my car, Tom hurriedly opened the passenger's seat.
"Wait! Where do you think you're going, mister?" I asked him with a piercing look.
"With you. I have to go back to the club and get my car," he answered easily.
"What?! You're making me as your driver? No, I'm not offering you a free ride!" I exclaimed.
"OK. If I walk there all by myself, maybe there's a snatcher lurking at the alley. Maybe he has a gun and shots me 'coz I have nothing to give him," he said talking to my conscience.
"Grrrr!!!! I hate this life!" I shouted at the top of mylungs.
