"an f? are you kidding me matti?! cosa ti fa pensare che vada bene?!" (an f? are you kidding me matti?! what makes you think that's okay?!) mattia's father yelled as he looked down at him, mattia stared at his lap, his hands folded as he listened to what his dad was saying.

"papa-"

"no, there is no excuse. we moved here to give you a fresh start, you've gotten detention. and you're already failing a class? this is embarrassing mattia." his dad told him. mattia started smiling because of his dad's accent which made him sound funny when he spoke.

"i'm tired of getting calls from your teachers saying that you don't pay attention, and that you're disrespectful! we taught you better than that." both of his parents said. confusing mattia because of how synchronized they were when they spoke.

"you're grounded. get up, and go to your room. no phone, no laptop, no car. go." his mother ordered. mattia bit his bottom lip before pushing himself off of the couch. but not until his dad grabbed his shoulder, giving his mom the chance to pull out all of his piercings

after that, mattia just went up to his room. slamming his door, "hey," he heard his little brother say from behind him. making mattia jump since he didn't even know he was in there. "jesus, why are you in here?" mattia almost yelled as his brother held up a long orange box, "since mamma grounded you, can we finally play jenga?" He asked. mattia huffed.

"no, get out." he told him, frustrated at the fact that his family wouldn't just leave him alone for once in their lives.

"but-you always say no. just one round? then i'll leave you al-" gianluca was saying before mattia stopped him.

"no! jeez, what don't you understand. get the fuck out, god." he said, standing up, opening his door and pushing gianluca out. before closing it again and locking it.

gianluca stood outside mattia's bedroom door, staring down at the toy box sadly before going to his room to just play by himself.

"thank you, have a good day." i said to my bus driver as i stepped off of the fucking bus. i haven't taken the bus in a while and it sucks. i sat in the back just because all the front seats were gross.

"i guess you fell into the wrong hands, yeah...ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh...and now you're f-in' with the wrong man, man, ah-ah-ah-ah..." i sang to myself, walking past most of the students so i could get to my locker early and get to go on my laptop before class started. luckily, my moms memory isn't the best so she forgot to ask for my laptop. score.

"move it freak." these huge buff guys said, all of them bumping past me. i gritted my teeth, just ignoring them and continuing to walk.

"annoying asses." i whispered, putting my combination into my lock and grabbing my laptop charger, closing the metal door and sitting down on the floor, setting my book bag aside next to me.

i groaned when i got a notification on my screen, telling me that i had to stay after school today to clean some of the classrooms up as like volunteer work so i didn't get any more punishments from this damn school.

"there isn't anything i can do to get out of volunteer work?" i asked my guidance counselor as she typed away at her stupid computer. "mattia, unless you want a detention, which causes a mark on your grade. i would recommend that you just go along with the cleaning. it won't be too bad, just organizing a few things from the classrooms." she told me with a shrug.
