two months without kairi.
mattia honestly wasn't sure what to do with himself at that point. kairi was his only friend, his only true friend, his boyfriend. somebody he could depend on and talk to.
now he had nobody, at school or at home.
what a shitty situation this was.
knowing that kairi was having surgery that week just made it worse. he's hoping it's nothing and that everything will be okay but he's really not sure what the hell was gonna happen.
to top it off his mom was now three months away from giving birth, which meant their entire house was in a complete panic about preparing for the baby.
mattia couldn't have cared less though, while his dad ran around to different baby stores spending hundreds of dollars on stuff he could have just bought online for way cheaper, mattia kicked back and contemplated running away.
being homeless would probably be better than living here.

"we've got a lab tomorrow so we really need to go over it today so we can get started as soon as we come in tomorrow, sound good everyone?" mr. nicholas called out to the whole classroom, getting nods and agreements from all the students, everyone except for mattia.
"mattia? sound good to you too?" mr. nicholas approached mattia's desk, snapping in front of his face to get him to escape form whatever trance he was in at the moment.
"y-yeah...sorry, sounds perfect." mattia nodded, rubbing his eyes to let the tiredness go away.
he hasn't been sleeping much at all either. which kinda sucked considering how much mattia loved his normal sleep schedule, well at least what used to be normal.
"great, and i'd also like for you to stay after class to talk to me, does that sound good too?"
"yeah mr. nicholas..."
how embarrassing, now all mattia could feel was the rest of the people in his class watching. and it was so fucking annoying.
once the bell rung, mattia wanted to try to sneak out and hide behind everyone, obviously it didn't work seeing as mattia was like two feet taller than half the people in there.
"mattia, can you come over here?" mr. nicholas called out, just before mattia could get away.
the teenager groaned and rolled his eyes internally before turning on his feet. "yes?"
"i'd really appreciate if you didn't fall asleep in my classroom, especially while i'm teaching. after i'm done and we have quiet time then you can do whatever you want." mr. nicholas explained, looking up and making eye contact with his student, only to see that his eyes were incredibly bloodshot. almost like he was crying.
"yeah, sorry. it won't happen again." mattia muttered, slinging his backpack across his back before turning away to leave.
"hold on...you never fall asleep in class...in fact, you love my class...so what's going on? are you okay?"
