Chapter 17

"It's an innocent question don't make me have to hurt you!" Tara said, tugging on Noah's hood.

I laughed, watching the two play around for a bit.

"Come on, you two!" Glenn chuckled, and I hopped into the back of the van while Aidan clambered into the front.

We drove to a large storage building.

There were walkers trapped in the front, surrounded by gates.

I held my breath as we slipped inside the building.

Complete darkness.

Glenn banged his hand on the wall a few times.

Nothing.

"Okay, Eugine and Tara, go and look for the parts. Aidan, Noah, Nicholas, and Emma, I need you to come with me." Glenn said, handing me a revolver.

Nicholas smirked at me. 

I started rummaging through boxes, looking for anything helpful. 

I hear a groan, and I whip around to see a walker shambling towards Aiden, Nicholas, Glenn and Noah.

It had body armor, and Aidan kept on missing the head. 

Then he shot again, and I was thrown backwards.

There was an intense ringing in my ears as I covered them and curled up on my knees.

"Emma! Come on!" Glenn barked and I stumbled blindly after him, the ringing starting to fade.

"Where's Aidan?" I asked, eyes wide and frantic. 

Glenn's eyes flicked behind me.

Aidan was there, impaled on spikes.

"Is he dead?" I asked as we rushed to find Eugine and Tara.

Eugine was clutching her head. 

"It's a severe head injury... if we don't treat it soon, she won't make it." 

"Don't let her die!" I found myself ready to let out a wail before Glenn smacked his hand over my mouth.

I sighed. 

I heard a groan.

I whipped around, seeing Aidan struggling around. 

"We've gotta go help him." We moved Tara as quickly as possible, and I lunged to go and help Aidan.

He whimpered, blood dripping out of his mouth.

"I checked for a pulse," Nicholas said.

We tried to pull him off.

We really did.

But we had to 'abandon ship'.

The walkers bit into him, causing Aidan to let out a blood-curdling scream.

We ran into revolving doors, walkers on both sides.

I was trapped with Glenn and Noah, and Nicolas on the other side. 

Nicholas was struggling around, and we were all trying to hold the doors closed.

Nicholas managed to shove the walkers away, and squeeze through his door, running for the van.

I pushed my back against the glass door, trying desperately to save Noah and Glenn.

But, the door shattered in front of us. 

A walker grabbed onto Noah, and Glenn latched onto his wrist.

"Don't let me go," Noah pleaded, but was swept away by walkers.

He was pressed against the glass as Glenn and I clung to each other.

Noah was ripped apart.

We somehow got out of there, and ran to the van to find Nicholas trying to crank it up.

I ran up, turning into a wolf and sinking my teeth into his ankle and yanking him out of the drivers seat.

Glenn took over from there, punching him until he was passed out.

He looked up to Eugine. "Help me get him in the back."

Glenn drove quickly.

I was silent in the back, eyes watering.

There goes another one. 

We arrived quicker than I thought, whipping into the gates.

As soon as the doors opened, I was a wolf and running out of there. 

I didn't know where I was going, but I somehow ended up at Jesse's house. 

Carol walked way from the door, and her eyes locked on me.

"Emma? Are you okay? What happened?" She asked, rushing over to me.

I shook my head. 

I'll explain later, I thought at her. 

Carol nodded. "Come on. We can go and talk to Rick."

Carol knocked on the door of Rick's house.

"Pete's beating Jesse." Was the first thing she said.

"What? How do you know?" 

"It's not that hard to see." Carol said, walking inside.

Rick stalked over to the window, staring out it and chewing on his nails.

"What should I do?"

"You have to kill him."
