•Chapter- 5•

"Fuck! That was sooo fun Di!! if our parents saw at what speed you were driving, we will be grounded forever!" Tara said and I laughed.

"Well they don't know now, do they?! So no worries!" I said and we got down the car and went to the beach and sat down near the stones.

"I missed this.....so much!" I said breathing in the cool air.

"I know, we missed spending time like this with you! Remember Sashi Uncle always used to bring us here when we were kids! Those were some amazing days!" Sia said and I nodded my head with a smile.

"How are you feeling Arvi?" Sia asked me finally. I know she has been wanting to ask me that since I landed here. Mumbai brings back memories. Memories I came to accept and forgive but not forget.

"I am fine Sia. I mean.....there is nothing to be not fine about. I am way past all of that and I am much better and stronger than I was back then. I mean.......it's weird a little bit and......I won't lie. It does...........bring memories back but....I am good guys!" I said and they both nodded their heads smiling squeezing my hand.

"So someone had a filmy meet huh?" Tara said smirking to lighten the mood.

I shrugged my shoulders looking at her with a smile and turned away.

"Wasn't my intention to have one but hey! I am not complaining" I said and they both laughed.

"So what's on the plan now?" Sia asked and I shrugged.

"Get settled here. Arrange the office properly and get the renovation done and make sure Anvi is settled. And then build my baby to heights!!!" I said and they both cheered.

"I am proud of you babe! You have done all this on your own and I am super happy that you are here now!!" Sia said smiling widely at me.

It's true. My dad really wanted me to go into family business but I wanted to do something different. I am more into art and connecting people with art that I wanted to come to this side. In the end, he did give up and supported me unconditionally but I made sure to rise on my own. Like I did always!

After sitting there and chatting for a while, we three went and had some food outside and ice cream!!

"Let's go now? Otherwise, you know how our Dad's get" Sia said as we completed our ice cream and we nodded. That's right! It's been almost two and a half hours and they will fret otherwise!

In almost half an hour we came back to our house to see only the ladies sitting in the living room.

"Where are the gent's ladies?" I asked sitting beside Anjali Maa and laying my head on her shoulder.

"They all went to the office room to discuss something. You guys must be tired and since you also have to go overlook your office work tomorrow, you go and sleep Arvi. Your old room is all ready for you" Sakshi Maa said and I nodded my head and we three went upstairs to our rooms.

While I was climbing up the stairs I saw Abheer going to his room across mine speaking to someone on the phone aggressively. I shook my head at his usual behavior and went to my room.

As soon as I entered the room, I was hit with nostalgia. The memories I have in this room, some good, some bad, some heart-warming, some heart-wrenching. I sighed as I saw how everything looked the same as before yet different. I went to open the cupboard only to see that all my clothes are arranged already. I took out my nightwear and went to shower.

As soon as I hit the bed after a shower is when I realized how tired I am and fell asleep pretty soon.

"I have no use of you, fucking leave from here!" I was pushed to the side and my head hit the bedpost hard.

"Please don't say that! Why are you behaving like this?" I sobbed and moved forward only to be pushed away again and fell to the floor.

"How dare you question me? Let me teach you a lesson" with that a belt flew towards me and I knew I am in for one hell of a beating and screamed.

"Ahhhhhh!"

I screamed and gasped as I sat up straight sweating in an AC room. I looked around me and took the water jug beside my bed and poured the water into a glass.

After gulping down the water I heaved a breath and patted my heart.

"It's okay babe, it's okay! You are fine! You are okay!" I muttered and closed my eyes as they started to tear.

One day in and I already started getting these fucking nightmares. I exhaled a shaky breath and lay down for the rest of the night trying to get back to sleep.
