"Abheer! Beta you rest for some time. Spend some time with our family and enjoy. We will take care of all this stuff" Ankit Uncle came to me and patted my shoulder as I helped the catering team.
"It's fine Uncle. All of you are immersed in some or the other work and it gets boring to not do anything and just sit idle. And you know how exhausted I get talking to all the relatives. All they do is gossip and ugh!!! I wanna bang my head somewhere" I said groaning in frustration and he laughed.
"Fine then. But don't over-exert yourself. After all, this is your wedding and the groom needs to be energetic" he said winking at me and I chuckled.
The mehndi function is this evening and right now everyone is busy getting ready for it. Since our haldi is tomorrow morning with our wedding in the night, everyone is making sure that tomorrow's work is also done today to not have any problems tomorrow.
Each one of us woke up at almost around 5 today and started with everything. I haven't seen Arvi properly till now except for in the morning when I sneaked into her room and stole a kiss and also made sure she had her breakfast.
Honestly, I thought things will go a little bit slow when we first started planning the wedding. It did, initially. But the days moved faster after our engagement. And tomorrow is our wedding. I am getting married tomorrow, to the love of my life and it all feels surreal. This moment, this exact moment has been on my mind ever since I have fallen in love with Arvi so deeply that nothing mattered other than her.
And to see it finally happening is immensely satisfying. One thing I realized after partaking in my wedding functions and preparations is that, when you are getting married, you have to live those moments. With all the fuss, and the hurry, you might not get a chance to focus on it and it will pass by in a blur. So live the moment. Enjoy each fucking second.
After helping around downstairs for a little bit, I went upstairs to my room to work on a pending deal. I have time until after my honeymoon to work on this but since I have some time to kill, why not take it up?
It was around 11 when I decided to put my laptop down and go downstairs only to hear a loud roar from down there.
"Why the fuck did you come here??" I heard Sashi Uncle shout and got up, rushing out of the room.
I saw Taran and Rayaan walking downstairs and joined them only to freeze on the spot as I saw who came inside the house.
Raksha Patil. How the fuck did she come inside? I clenched my jaw as I stared at her strutting around as if she owns the place.
"I asked you something Raksha. Why the fuck did you come here?" Sashi Uncle asked, anger oozing out of him as he stared at the woman furiously.
"To meet my daughter Sashi! I have a right to her. I birthed her!! I heard she is getting married and I want to meet her" she said crossing her arms defensively.
