"Why the fuck are we still behind the schedule? Did I or did I not emphasize the fact that this is a very important project and that we need to be ahead of the schedule?" I said in a deadly tone as it took everything in me to not snap at my manager. Deadly calm works best. It won't get the best of your anger and make the other person run but puts them in the spot and makes them shiver.
"Si....sir.....I....sorry....sir...I'll make sure.....to get the team....up and running" he stuttered and I took a deep breath trying to calm myself down.
I hate tardiness. The Mills project is very important to us and there are so many glitches in the work right now and that's something I hate. Slacking off is one of the many things which puts me off, especially when it comes to something so important.
I dismissed the manager and buzzed for my assistant to come in and as soon as Piyush came in I asked him to note down.
"Arrange a meeting for me with the entire team working on the Mills Project. I need every report that has been made explained to me. We are already very late. I will evaluate the glitches and we will go from there" I instructed him.
"Yes Sir. Anything else?" He asked looking up at me.
"Yeah. Arvi is going to come for signing the documents from the last board meeting. Make sure to keep the documents ready on my table and send her right in. Once she comes I don't want anyone or anything disturbing me. Keep whatever meetings are there on hold. And arrange the Mills Project meeting for after Arvi leaves" I ordered him and he nodded and left my cabin.
After checking other project files which are needed to be assessed I took my phone and called Taran.
"Hey bro what's up?" I heard his cheerful voice and raised my eyebrow.
"I see that someone's cheerful" I said and he squealed. Yep. Squealed.
"Why won't I be??? My dream girl came! She is in our house! She is going to live here!! Of course, I am fucking ecstatic. I finally get a chance to woo her and prove that I am worth every second of her time!" He said rather determined and I smiled. Taran really likes her and I feel like his feelings are getting more stronger. Maybe from experience but that's a hunch. I know how sad he was when Avika turned him down and how much he tried to get her to talk to him.
He distanced himself not wanting to act like a creep and a stalker but also because he knew for the past two years that she will be moving to Mumbai with Arvi. Now she is coming here maybe something will spark and my best friend will get the girl of his dreams.
"You will bro. Don't worry. I called to tell you that I already checked the files you wanted me to. They are all good. I am going to sign them and send them to you. You have to sign on them as well and you can submit for the bids" I said completing signing the last file.
