Today is one of the best days of my life

Today is one of the best days of my life. It's a different feeling when you reach the stage, where you get engaged to the love of your life and watch as your dream comes alive.

And the confession, fuck! My girl is the best! The way she went down on her knees and gave me her heartfelt confession, I felt truly the luckiest man in the world. Indeed, I always used to tease Arvi about me being the only one who proposed but she blew my mind away with her proposal. I surely have to up my game now!

With that thought in mind, I smiled to myself as I entered the house. I had to go to the office to sign some files. I had to go to London for the same work this week but I postponed it due to the engagement. I anyways have to go next week because I want to complete all the pending work before our wedding itself and also help Arvi a little bit this time.

She has got a huge complaint against me that I am not helping her with the wedding preparations. Which may be true! But only because I am so confused regarding all of that and Arvi is the creative one in the relationship!

"Aunty, where is everyone? Did they have dinner?" I asked our maid who came out of the kitchen and she shook her head.

"No beta, everyone was tired so they all had something light and went to their rooms" she said and I nodded my head.

"Arvi beta wanted to make something for you and herself after you came back home. She is in her room" Aunty said smiling and I thanked her and went upstairs.

I first went to my room and freshened up before going to hers. I opened the door simply as I know she won't lock the door despite me telling her to do so several times.

As I went inside, I frowned noticing that the room was dark. Arvi doesn't like sitting with the lights off.

"Arvi?" I called her and switched on the light only to stiffen as I took her room in. It's messy and her bed lamp is lying broken on the floor. It's her favorite one.

"Arvi?" I said even louder and checked the bathroom and the open window. I noticed a ladder outside her window.

"No......the ladder is not supposed to be here" I muttered and turned around to go look for her outside when I noticed that there was a spot with blood on it. Not just there but the blood trailed towards the window a little bit.

"Fuck! No....she can't be" I gasped as panic hit me hard. I went outside and shouted for everyone to come outside.

"Arvi is missing" I said as soon as everyone came outside and I dialed her phone. Her phone wasn't anywhere in the room which means there is a chance she might have it.
