"Good morning family!!!" I said and everyone greeted me as I sat down at the breakfast table. I looked over to Abheer and he was already looking back at me.
I raised my eyebrows with a small smile and he just winked at me, making me smile as I looked down trying to hide it.
"How are you feeling now Arvi?" Viju Uncle asked and I remembered my excuse from yesterday.
"I am fine now Uncle. I was just tired is all" I said and he nodded his head.
"Arvi, you have to come to the office today. You need to sign some documents from our board meeting which happened a week ago. It's just half an hour's work" Taran said and I nodded my head.
"Anvi is coming today so I am going to go pick her up and after dropping her here I'll come over" I said serving myself some sambar and idli.
"Oh right! Avi is coming today!" Taran said with a hint of excitement and I stifled my smile.
He likes Avi but the latter never gave in to him and he has been trying ever since. He is the most excited one as soon as he got to know about her coming.
Avi has her reasons. Taran has a reputation for being a player. I know Avi fancies him but then her parents' rough marriage isn't letting her take any chances. I understand her dilemma about giving Taran a chance and so I never pushed her. Taran is fucking amazing if you take his player side aside and that's what I told Avi. It's up to her. And now that she is coming here.....just maybe something will spark?
"I already got the room ready for her so don't worry Aru" Radha Maa said and I nodded my head with a smile.
"Tara...princess what is this I hear about you not going to college today?" Udit Uncle asked and she looked down at her plate.
"I guess....the party yesterday made me sick. I might have had something bad.....I'll rest for today Dad" she said and my eyebrows knitted in concern. Tara is not okay. She never skips college. Not even when she had a high temperature. She still went ahead saying she don't like missing classes. She is the most studious of us all. Something the elders always try to tease the rest of us about.
"I have no problem beta. I just asked because I remember you telling me that today there was this assignment submission and you worked so hard for it and were excited about it. I didn't want you to miss out on the submission" he said looking concerned at her gloomy face.
"Chavi took my assignment with her and she will submit it for me Dad. Don't worry. It's okay!" She said and cracked a smile.
"It's fine na Udit Bhaiya. Tara never skips college. Let her rest. In fact, am glad that she is at least staying back home today" Bhavya Maa said and everyone chuckled. Udit Uncle nodded his head smiling and went back to eating.
But something is wrong. Tara is not okay and it's visible. I looked at Sia and it was as if she understood me instantly. I took my phone and texted her.
