Luz Pov

I scrubbed the last of the black paint of my arms before grabbing my towel and drying off, I had forgotten to change before I painted and my army paints lay on the floor covered in black and purple paint. I groaned wrapping myself in the towel running into my room. I opened the closet grabbing a pair of black mom jeans and tank top with Azura on the front, I slipped on my purple converse and cuffed my jeans so they sat above my shoes. I skipped down stairs as Eda placed a plate in front of my spot, "welcome kiddo I made my special, cheese toasties" I smiled looking at the golden bread, before another word could be spoken I scoffed down both pieces grinning when I finished. "Jesus kid you became a demon yourself when you were gone" I laughed as Eda passed me another toastie and some soda, this time I ate slower tuning out of Eda and king's conversation. My scroll buzzed in my pocket, boshca had posted on pensta "blight bash on friday at 8 be there and get lit" I smiled, a party at the blights sounded perfect, "hey Eda can I go out tomorrow night" Eda looked over at me "sure whose place" I showed her the post and she gave me a double thumbs up before returning to her conversation with King.

We stood at eda's stand selling human items when I recognised a voice from behind me. "Edalyn what did I say about illegal selling... tell me so I can join." I laughed as I turned to a familiar blue haired witch, Lillith turned to me before wrapping me in a hug, " I know we weren't close Luz but you are like a niece to me and I'm glad your here" I smiled at Lily as she took her arms off me "Jesus eda you've taken in a tree look at the girl she's a giant and she's muscled like no one!" I chuckled at her comments. I have always been proud of my physique but to hear someone else compliment my figure was much more fulfilling. I was ripped out of my thoughts by a small laugh, I looked down to see one of the kids Amity and I use to read to. "Miss Luz it is in fact you, why you have grown so very tall, may I have a hug?" I chuckled scooping up little Mathew, he took a fond liking to me when I was here and he was one of my favourite students. He had grown bigger he must be in grade school now, I saw his mother wander over to us smiling at me. "Ah the one and only Luz Noceda, Mathew has not stopped talking about since you left, he even convinced Amity to read the Azura series to the kids in the older reading group." I smiled at the thought of Amity reading Azura to the kids, "oh does she still read to the kids?" I questioned placing Mathew back down which earned a groan from him but he was quickly distracted by a king. "Yeah she hasn't stopped, oh well for about a month she refused to even step foot into the library." Her voice sounded pained before she continued "it was after you left, she disappeared of the face of the earth of a month and then all a sudden she was back and fine, it was weird to be frank." I smiled and nodded as Mathews mother grabbed Mathew and wandered back into the crowd of the market. Obviously something really messed with Amity after that night, I have to find out, maybe it was my fault to be fair most of the problems I caused were fixed when I left but I didn't think about what it must've done to all of them.

"Isles to Noceda, you alive in there kiddo?" I snapped out of my daze and looked up to the concerned face of Eda. "Oh shoot yeah sorry just ran into one of my old students, I didn't realise how much the isles changed in four years." I sighed as I placed my head in my hands, Eda's hand patted me on the back, "well kid get out of your slump, here are some snails go find some stuff for your room, you aren't helping that much and now lily is here four people at the stand is a bit much. I'll see you at home at 4 pm ok?" I looked at my scroll "2:52" I smiled and nodded at eda as I walked away from the stand.

I stood in the isle version of hot topic, boiling tropics, I'm sure that would be a copyright lawsuit but its the isles so no one really cares about a copyright problem. I had about 50 dollars worth of snails sitting in my pocket, I didn't know what I wanted to get, I did need some new posters and maybe a new shirt. After about 20 minutes of browsing I had a few items of clothing some posters and a handful of new jewellery. I stood in line at the counter looking at the wild socks on display, I have no idea why someone may need a pair of socks with fairy pies on them, "Luz Noceda is that you?" I turned to the voice smiling as I made eye contact with Tibbles the crazy circus clown that drove Eda and I insane for weeks, "good afternoon Tibbles, tis I back in the isles, anyways just this please." He smiled at me as he rung up my items. " I saw you eyeing off some fairy pie socks, because you're my favourite human ill chuck a pair in for free." I laughed as I passed him my snails, "Tibbles I'm the only human you know." He rolled his eyes passing me the bag and change, I counted them and realised I had enough for a coffee.

As I lay in my room reading Azura I heard a soft knock on my door, I looked up as the door slowly opening displaying Eda in her PJ's, I chuckled at the sight of her bunny slippers. "Hey kiddo, I'm gonna head into Hexside to enrol you for next week, tomorrow the day is yours but I want you home for dinner before you go out ok, ill be out most of tomorrow, your in charge of dinner." She placed a mug of hot coco on my bedside table and ruffled my hair as she walked out. I looked at my wall which now adorned a pinup board above a small desk, a photo of Amity and I was the only thing I had put up on the pin up board, I grabbed the mug taking a sip as I pulled out my phone chucking on supergirl. Soon enough I started to feel sleep over take me and I lay down turning my lap off, I saw my door open as king trotted in jumping on my bed and curling up in his blanket. I was home.
