Chapter 56:

Azalea's P.O.V

After the whole meeting in the clearing, I lead my family back towards the base. They asked me a bunch of questions, and I answered them the best I could. During the walk, Owen decided to come land on my shoulder, startling a lot of people. I laughed at them all. I'm not mean, it was just funny.

"Uh, Z, you have a hawk on your shoulder." Ora stated. I smirked at her.

"I know."

"Oh. Does that happen often?"

"Yep."

"Oh."

I laughed at Ora. It was a short conversation, yes, but a funny one at that.

"Everyone, meet Owen. Owen, meet my family." I said. Owen turned and gazed at my family. I saw Tubbo gulp worriedly when Owen's amber gaze met his, but other than that, no one else seemed to be that worried.

"Zia, how many pets do you have?" Wilbur asked.

"Well, you've met Storm, Cleveland, Charlie, Redtail, and now Owen. You haven't met Nutmeg nor Doe yet. Plus, there's Asher-" I stopped. I hadn't seen Asher in the longest time, and I really missed my horse. I hoped he was alright, wherever he was. 

"Oh, Asher is back at my place with Carl and Luna." Techno said. I was relieved to hear that Asher hadn't passed yet, but also confused on who Luna was.

"Who's Luna?" I asked. Techno rubbed the back of his neck and laughed awkwardly.

"There's no easy way to say this... but... Asher's... Asher's a girl. And Carl and her kind of made Luna one night, bout 4 months ago." He said awkwardly. I stared at him dumbfound. That was shocking. I shrugged it off, and showed them the rest of the way to the base. 

We got in, and immediately, I got attacked by Doe. She jumped up in my arms, and I caught her, laughing. Nutmeg walked out after her and started rubbing herself on me. I smiled and told everyone who was who. Owen, at this point, had flown off. Probably to his nest.

We all started towards the kitchen. I could tell that they were all hungry and cold, so I was going to make some hot chocolate for them all. I had the ingredients. We got there, and I dropped Doe down on the floor, and got started on everything, while everyone marveled at the sight the kitchen held.

The whole back wall was a window and outlooking over the mountains. That's how I found them so quickly. After putting some water on the stove, I turned the oven on and got out some cinnamon rolls. I buttered a pan, then spread them out, before putting them in the oven. I set a time for 20 minutes, before walking out of the kitchen to find where everyone went. 

I was stopped before I entered the dining room by a pair of arms wrapping themselves around my waist. I got pulled back onto a warm chest and looked up to see my piglin love already staring down at me, smiling. I blushed, but smiled back.

"Halloo" He said. I giggled.

"Hello Techno." He went to set his head on mine, but quickly lifted it back up. I frowned in confusion. He looked at my head, before grinning.

"Zia, you didn't tell me your horns came in." Oh. I bit my lip and looked towards the ground.

"Yeah, they started coming in about two days before... before you guys found Ora and Whirlwind." I said. I felt him tense behind me, and I knew that he was angry. It was about time they became angry at me.

I mean, I did leave them for around four years. Didn't even leave them a note or anything. Just walked out and didn't even let them know that I was alive. I thought that they would be better if they thought that I was dead.
