Technoblade's P.O.V

It was now almost dawn. Phil had taken over watch about 75 minutes ago. Since then, I have not been able to sleep. Before you all start calling me a nerd for keeping track of the minutes, I was extremely bored and trying not to think about Azalea and Ranboo. It distracted me, ok?

I was looking up at the stars, trying to find the ancient constellations in them of greek gods and heroes. Mythology had always fascinated me, even when I was young. There was just something about it that drew me in. Maybe it was because it had actual life lessons in it. That's probably what it was.

I sighed, then heard a twig snap in the distance. Immediately, I shot up, alert. I watched as a figure walked towards me, hands up in a calming nature. I squinted my eyes, and saw it was only Phil. I took a deep breath, trying to calm myself.

"Techno, what's wrong?" Phil asked, trying not to wake the others. I sighed deeply, then looked towards the east, where there was a faint glow, signifying the sun would be rising soon. I looked back over to Phil, and saw he was genuinely concerned. He sat down, and I slowly sat down next to him. He put one of his wings over me, drawing me closer to him. His father instincts were kicking in.

I laughed, but didn't move away. I liked it when he acted this way. It made me feel almost normal.

"Are you going to tell me what's wrong, or stay stubborn and pretend everything is fine?" Phil asked. I sighed. How could I explain it to him? I just... he wouldn't understand.

"I uh... I'm not sure how to explain it but... uh."

"You like Azalea, and you are really worried for her, aren't you?" Phil said, looking me dead in the eyes. I felt my face heat up. How the heck did he know? I began to stutter, saying that that wasn't it, but Phil just had an amused look on his face. Finally, I just gave up trying to convince him otherwise. Besides, he wasn't wrong...

"How long have you known?" I asked quietly, hoping that my face wasn't as read as it was a few moments before.

"Since I found you cuddling with her in her room, the night the voices took some of her for an offering. It's been pretty obvious to me, but everyone else is blind to it. Except Ranboo." Phil said. I shook my head, chuckling. Dang, my father figure was observant. We looked up at the stars for a while, just quietly talking about nothing, yet everything.

I finally admitted that I liked Azalea, and he just laughed, telling me how obvious I was. We laughed for a bit, before falling silent once more. The sun was now shining over the far off mountains. I sighed.

A twig snapped from the west, very close to where we were at. I snapped my head in that direction, my hand darting towards my sword at my belt. I searched through the trees, trying to identify the noise. Suddenly, an arrow came whizzing out of the forest, heading straight for me. I barely dodged it in time, before I heard more footsteps.

I drew my sword and motioned for Phil to get everyone up. Suddenly, the woods exploded with shouts and footsteps. I looked around and noticed that there were so many guards, Dream leading them all. I look Dream dead in the eyes, and we ran towards each other.

He drew an axe and jumped at me, bring his axe down. I parried with my sword, and shoved him off. My vision turned red as the voices got louder. My body went into autopilot mode. Dream was a well enough match for me. We kept fighting, dodging each other's attacks, and counter-attacking all the time. It was almost like a dance.

I couldn't tell what was going on around me, all I could focus on was Dream and winning. Eventually, I saw Dream was starting to get tired. I grinned. I had worn him out. I suddenly attacked with new energy that he didn't know about. I saw his eyes widen in surprise as he took a more defensive stance.
