(~*~3 years later~*~)

Techno's P.O.V

Three years. That's how long we have been searching for her. 3. Years. Yet, I refused to give up. So did Ora and Whirlwind. They knew that she was out there somewhere, and they were willing to help me until we got her back.

Everybody else was still skeptical, but I knew she was just out there. I could feel it. So, waking  up on her birthday, I got a gut feeling. A gut feeling that something big was going to happen today. I just knew it.

I had moved out of Phil's house a couple months ago, and had a little cottage between Snowchester and Phil's house. So I could go see them whenever, and they can come see me. I stretched my arms and back, sighing in relief as I heard it pop, before walking out of my room to be met by the comforting face of Steve.

Steve was a polar bear cub that I found around a year and a half ago. He was just lying on the side of the road, so I decided that I would adopt him. Plus, he would help me find Zia. God, I missed her. I was hoping that today I would finally find her, bring her home.

I fed Steve, and made some toast for myself. I started to read The Art of War again while I waited for my toast. I started reading it none stop ever since Zia disappeared. I just felt like there was something in here that I was missing.

I was so deep in thought, the timer beeping made me jump. I grabbed my toast and buttered it, before sitting down on a bar stool and continuing to read while I ate my toast. I came across a certain section that I always skipped for some reason. I decided to read through it this time.

Reading through it, my eyebrows furrowed closer together. (I haven't actually read the book, so I'm just making an assumption about what it has in it. Please don't take my word for fact.)

According to Sun Zu, it is best to hide in a place where others will not find you, and that's when you strike. I set down the book, and ate my toast, thinking. Where would Zia hide that we haven't thought of before?

I was startled out of my thoughts by a knock on my door. I grumbled and set my toast down, before getting up to answer the door. Steve was already there, acting like a dog. I chuckled, and opened the door, seeing my family on the other side. My smile widened, and I let them all in.

When I say all, I mean all of them. Ranboo, Tubbo, Michael, Philza, Wilbur, Nikki, Tommy, Whirlwind, and Ora. Everyone took off their shoes, before walking into the living room, strangely quiet. My eyebrows furrowed in confusion, I followed after them.

My living room was big enough to hold all of them, but Tommy and Tubbo were sitting on the floor. Michael was curled up with Steve. They fell in love with each other the moment they met. It was kind of cute, to be honest.

I looked over all of their faces, and saw worry etched into each one of them. I crossed my arms and leaned my shoulder against the doorway.

"Alright, what's going on?" I asked, knowing something was up. Tommy couldn't stay quiet this long, same with Tubbo. Phil gave me a sad smile, before speaking.

"We might know where she is." He said simply. At that, my heart skipped a beat. I knew it! Today was different. I heard some of them chuckled at the way my ears perked up, but I didn't care. If I could get her back, I would do anything.

"Where?"

"We think that she might be living in the old Mountain Men base. Since they moved to a different location, it's abandoned, and nobody goes up there. It would be the perfect place to hide out in. Plus, she knows every inch of it."

I nodded, and Phil got out a map and set it down on the coffee table. It was a map of the Manberg mountain range, including Blood Mountain, who's elevation was near 17,000 ft. There was a red x over a certain point, near the base of Blood Mountain. Phil pointed to the x.

"That's their old base. It's a day trip there, but if we are right, then it would be worth it." I nodded, and stood straight again. I looked at everyone, and saw that they were awaiting for some sort of action. I sighed deeply, before giving them an answer.

"Well, what are we waiting for? Let's go get Zia back."

Azalea's P.O.V.

3 years is a long time, but I didn't mind. In that time, my pets had grown into strong creatures, and I was proud of them. Much like a proud mother. Storm was the alpha that I thought he would become, but he's very playful. It's cute.

Cleveland was the more serious leader, but I could tell that she enjoyed some playful times as well. Charlie and Redtail were best friends, inseparable, and they loved to cause trouble together. Doe was the one I was most worried about.

She wasn't as big as the others, only the size of about a large cat. She didn't like to hunt or get into trouble. She didn't like to play either. She was just a fragile creature, which is probably why I loved her the most.

Owen and Nutmeg had grown as well. Sometimes, Nutmeg would bring me fish that she would catch in the mountains streams, and Owen would always bring me back a squirrel whenever he went out. I let all my animals roam free, as long as they didn't stay away for too long. Doe never liked to go, but I still made her.

They all had grown a lot, and I felt like an overly proud mother. But I couldn't help but feel a twig of sadness.

It was now my 21st birthday, and I could only celebrate it with animals. Not my friends. God, I missed them. But I knew that they were better off without me.

I sighed, and got out of my bed, Doe following right behind me. We walked out of my room, and I started towards the kitchen. I entered the kitchen, and smiled at the sight. All my babies were there, waiting for me.

I fed them all, and poured myself some cereal. Sure, it was kind of stale, but it was still food. I stared out the window that was placed in the kitchen, thinking. I didn't realize what I saw until something caught the sun's rays.

I looked closer and saw that it was a compass. A golden compass. Now, compasses were common, but golden compasses? I only knew of one person who had that- Wait. Why would he be here?!

I rushed towards the window, and opened it so I could see clearly who they were. The clear mountain air hit my face, sending a cold shock through my body. It was refreshing, and woke me up clearly. I squinted in the rising sun, but I could clearly make out 7 figures, two with wings. I looked even closer, and froze at what I saw.

Red wings. Oh no.

I rushed out, my children following me. I quickly threw on some more appropriate clothes. White long sleeve, black bottoms, leather boots, and my new mask. It's made out of a Hoglin skull that I found up here. I quickly threw it on, and ran towards my armory.

In there, I had a fresh set of netherite items. I strapped my enchanted netherite sword to my waist, putting on my chest plate. I really didn't need any other armor. I grabbed my axe, and tied my potion bag to my belt as well.

I looked over and saw that my wolves were all standing in order, with Doe running back towards my room. I taught her that whenever we were to go into battle, she would stay back. I held out my arm, and Owen landed on it.

I looked over them once more, my heart swelling with pride. Then my stomach dropped at what I was about to do.

Welp, time to go face my friends after 3 years.
