Chapter 40:

Azalea's P.O.V

"Captain Puffy at your service." They said. I saw Dream go tense, and I knew that his face was pale. George and Sapnap just looked at her, a mix of anger and confusion in their faces. Karl, who I had met on a different adventure with the boys, was just standing there, looking in shock at us. 

I mean, I knew why he was shocked. Three hybrids in a cell under the basement of his fiancé, one of which he met, and then suddenly Dream's mom pops up out of nowhere?! Hell, I am confused by this situation.

I saw Captain Puffy look over at us, and I gave her a grin. She grinned back. We had met only once before, and it was hilarious because we would exchange embarrassing stories about Dream. What can I say, she was the only female I would see in months that I was living with the three boys.

"What are you doing here?" Dream asked. I could tell he was fuming with anger, but he was trying to keep calm. The fool.

"Tsk tsk, Dream. I thought you were smarter than that!" Puffy said, smirking. "You kidnapped my daughter, your own sister, and thought that I wouldn't come after her? I thought I raised you better!"

Dream huffed.

"Well, it's not like you are going to get her out. She's locked in there, and you don't know where the key is!" George said, smiling. I sighed and my tail swished back in forth. The poor fools. Puffy turned towards George, and rummaged in her coat pocket. She pulled out a silver key, and all 3 boys tensed up.

"You mean this key?" She said, smiling. Sapnap broke out of his shock, and started towards her, only to be met with a sword point. "I wouldn't come any closer if I were you." Puffy said, inching the point closer to his neck.

Sapnap gulped, then backed up. Everything was silent for a minute. 

"Mom, it's a 3v1, how do you expect to win?" Dream said. I could tell he was smirking, which made me angry. I looked over and saw Whirlwind had fear in her eyes, while Ora was.... smiling? Why the heck is she smiling? I looked back and saw that Puffy was smiling also, but her gaze was on Ora.

Suddenly, she threw the key over the boys' heads and into the cell. Ora caught in and I grinned. Puffy drew one of her daggers and threw it into the cell as well. I grabbed it, and I could finally hear the voices once again. They had been silent since I got in here. It was calming, but unnerving at the same time.

Ora unlocked our chains that connected us to the wall, then unlocked the cell door. We all rushed out to find that George and Sapnap were waiting for us, while Dream and Puffy were dueling in the hallway. I grinned. 

I passed the dagger to Ora.

"Hey, I need you to protect Whirlwind. I'll take care of these two." Ora gave me a confused look, before nodding. I grinned and turned back towards the boys. I closed my eyes and thought for a second. Then a burning feeling took over my body. It hurt, but it was duller than the first time.

The same cold calmness overcame me and I opened my eyes. I was now 6'8, my two bottom canines had grown so they stuck out of my mouth, and my vision turned a shade red. I knew that I was in my piglin form.

Sapnap and George looked at me, fear overcoming their gazes. I rushed towards them, and they raised their swords. Which turned out to be pointless. I grabbed George's blade, and ripped it out of his grasp. I then pushed him into the wall behind him. He hit his head on contact, and fell to the ground, unconscious.

I turned to Sapnap who had an angry look in his eyes. He leaped towards me, sword ready to swipe down, but it never made contact. Instead, I dodged to the right, and waited till he had hit the ground again, before sweeping his legs out from under him. He fell to the floor, and I placed my hooved foot in his chest. I used my other foot to kicked his sword away.

He tried to get up, but it was completely pointless. Even though the voices were screaming for blood, I used my sword hilt and hit him on the head, sending him out cold. I then turned towards Puffy and Dream.

Puffy was on the defensive, and Dream wasn't letting her get to make an attack. I saw that Puffy was tiring, but holding her own. I rushed towards them, and right as Dream leaped up to attack again, I grabbed the hood of his sweatshirt.

He made a choking noise, before turning and seeing me smirking at him. His mask hid his features, but I could tell he had gotten nervous. I threw him into the wall that was to my back, and listened to the satisfying CRACK  that came after. I looked over, and saw that he had passed out. He was still breathing, but I knew that some of his ribs were broken. 

I calmed my breathing down, and felt myself go back to my normal size. It was always easier going back to my original self than to call upon my mob forms. I opened my eyes, and saw everyone, including Karl, staring at me in awe, fear, or confusion. I grinned.

"C'mon, we don't have much time before they all wake up. We need to leave." I said, running towards the stairs. The girls followed me up the stairs, and I looked around, trying to find an escape. 

"This way!" Puffy yelled, running down a dark hallway. We followed her through a maze of hallways and stairs, before we saw light emitting from a cave entrance. I sped up and bursted out of the cave to find myself in a clearing. 

There were oak and birch trees surrounding it, with a little creek coming off of the mountain and flowing into the forest. It was beautiful. The sun was just beginning to set. I took a deep breath and sigh in content about the fresh air that filled my lungs. I don't know how long I was down there, but damn, it was good to have fresh air again. 

I hear someone cheering and look over to see only Puffy and Ora, who were both looking at the sky in wonder. I looked up and my jaw dropped. Up in the air, around 75ft up, was Whirlwind. She was twirling around, and whooping like there was no tomorrow. 

I was smiling really big. We were free. We were finally fucking free! I jumped up and shouted in hooray, only to feel something happen.

It felt like there were waves of different temperature rolling over me. First, an intense heat wave, then a freezing wave like water was just dumped on me. It last three times, before I opened my eyes to find that I was now on top of the mountain overlooking the meadow and the sunset. There were purple particles surrounding me.

Did I just teleport?

I heard flapping and turned around to see Whirlwind carrying Ora and Puffy by the hands, and all three of them landed.

"Z, you didn't tell me you could teleport!" Whirlwind said. I shook my head, a smile on my face.

"I can't. That's the first time that has happened." They looked at me with shock and understanding in there eyes. Then, Ora threw her arm around Whirlwind's neck, and walked them over here, just to throw her other arm around my neck.

"WE DID IT!! WE ESCAPED!!" She yelled, turning so that we could look towards the setting sun. The smile never left my face as we cheered for joy. I was happy because now I could go home.

I could see my friends. I could see my family. I could spend more time with Michael. I could finally see Techno again.

I was going home.

AYUP! How is everyone today? I hope yall are doing well, because pretzels exist and I am now addicted to them.

So, they finally escaped. I am actually having fun writing the end of this book, cuz it's coming  up. I might make another plot twist, I might just make an angsty ending, who knows?
