San's eyes visibly lit up with excitement.
"Yes! Yes, yes, yes, let's find out who killed you!"
Unconsciously, the ghost's lips turned up into a small smile. Every other person would've thought San was crazy for being so excited over a murder, but Wooyoung loved the way the older's dimples appeared.
Even though, he was still a tiny bit mad, his crush on the other boy wasn't gone.
"Okay, okay, where do we start? We need a plan", said San, who had sat down on the bed next to Wooyoung.
"I- don't know. I'm not a detective. Also, why are you so excited over this? I mean, I'm just a random guy who died last year. You shouldn't care."
San looked up, his eyes turning serious. Wooyoung was almost sure that he also spotted a hint of sadness in them.
"But I do. You're not just a random guy. I want to find out who did this to you because I like you a lot", the older stated, holding eye contact with the other the whole time.
Wooyoung's thoughts started going crazy at what San had just said.
He liked him? Like as in like or like as in more than like? Was this the moment where his everyday imagination of his crush confessing to him would come true?
"A-As a friend, of course", San hastily added.
It seemed like he wanted to slap himself for saying he liked Wooyoung and not immediately clarifying what exactly he meant.
The younger's heart once again felt like it had shattered.
Don't get your hopes high, Wooyoung.
San didn't seem to have heard the ghost's thoughts this time. He just shrugged his shoulders and continued.
"What I wanted to say is that I really want to help you find out who killed you."
"Okay", the younger mumbled, trying hard to suppress upcoming tears.
Why again was he crushing on a human? Especially, a human who acted like an idiot?
"What do you remember from this night?", San asked curiously.
"Nothing much, to be honest. I was at a party, but I didn't really know many of the other students who went there, so I was alone the whole time basically...", Wooyoung whispered, trying to remember as much as possible.
"Do you know whose party it was?"
"No, I don't. One of the older students from our high school probably", the ghost shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly.
"Think harder, Wooyoung. You have to know", San pressed.
His harsh tone made the younger angry. It wasn't easy for Wooyoung to remember everything, but he still tried his best. San's behavior was unfair.
"But I do not remember. Why is this even important?", he asked, turning away from the older a little.
"Every detail is important and you should know whose party it was. I doubt that you would just go to random ones with random people who you don't even know!"
