Wooyoung wanted to get home and never meet San again.

That was, until he realized that the only home he knew was San's.

So, he reluctantly went back to the older's house, floated through the front wall and up the stairs into San's room, where he made himself visible just to flop into the soft pillows of the bed again.

On his way up he had heard San's parents talking in the kitchen. He didn't want to eavesdrop, but he still caught that they were worried about their son, as he was either very absent or very emotional lately.

Tss- the only emotion he shows is anger and dumbness.

Letting out a loud sigh, Wooyoung wrapped himself in San's blanket, pulled his legs up to his chest and turned to face the wall.

How did he even end up fighting with San like this?

Oh right, because they kissed and almost slept with each other at a party. In retrospect, this was such a laughable idea.

What had Wooyoung hoped for? That San was in love with him too afterwards as if by magic and that they could be happy forever together?

Even if the older would like him back, a human and a ghost simply couldn't work out. It was impossible.

Wooyoung looked down at his hands.

"Why can't I just be normal?", he whispered to himself. "Why did I have to die? I've always tried to please everyone. So that no one would feel neglected."

With shaking hands he grabbed the Shiba plushie that sat on the side of San's bed and pulled it into his embrace.

"I never did anything bad, you know, little plushie?" He pressed a light kiss on its forehead. "I didn't even search the presents before christmas eve... Can you tell me why I had to die, little plushie?"

Patiently, he waited for an answer, until he remembered that animals made of fabric weren't able to speak.

"Yeah, right, you can't answer me", he said, getting slightly annoyed by the fact that nothing was working out how he wanted it.

"Someone really hated me, huh? Otherwise they wouldn't have murdered me, right? Maybe I should try and find out who it was. So, that I can better understand, why and how it even happened? I mean, I don't have anything else to do and-"

"And I thought you left town because you were pissed off", a sudden voice spoke.

Wooyoung was so caught up in his one-sided conversation with the plushie, that he didn't hear San entering the room.

He immediately regretted making himself visible just to be able to feel the softness of the older's bed.

Why hadn't he just suppressed this need?

"What are you doing with Shiber?"

San had come closer and had leaned slightly over Wooyoung since he was still with his face to the wall.

Confused, the ghost looked up into the older's eyes.

"What do you mean?"

"The plushie."

"Oh, Oh- uhm I'm sorry, it just... was the only one I could talk to", Wooyoung blabbered and hastily put Shiber back to his place.

A sudden lump formed in his throat, when he looked back into San's eyes that were fixed on him. He was so close above that it would've been easy to pull him down the last centimeters and kiss him-

Stop, Wooyoung, what the fuck. Stop thinking like that.

"Stop thinking like what?", San whispered, his voice deep and raspy.

"Y-you can hear my thoughts even when I'm in my human form?!?", Wooyoung squeaked.

"Apparently."

A red blush crept onto the ghost's cheeks and he aggressively pushed San away from him to not embarrass himself any further.

"Wooyoung."

"Mmh?", he mumbled, not daring to glance at the older who now stood in front of the bed while he himself was still sitting on it.

"I want to apologize."

Huh?

"My behavior was so immature and I'm sorry. It wasn't your fault that this night... happened. Neither was it mine, but we should just forget about it and move on as friends", San said.

The last words made Wooyoung's heart hurt, but he tried to ignore it as best as he could.

Instead, he smiled.

"Okay."

"Well, then... uh what's up, Woo?", San chuckled awkwardly.

"To be honest, I think I want to try something."

"Try what?", San asked, sitting down next to the ghost.

"Finding out who killed me."
