Even though, all his senses told him not to, Wooyoung followed San into school.
He blamed it on his boredom.
So, although he was deeply hurt by the older's words, he floated shortly behind him on his way.
Since San knew he was late to class, he started cursing quietly.
"All because of that stupid ghost", he mumbled angrily.
Excuse me?! It's not my fault that you slept in.
"Oh, so you did follow me?", San asked spitefully. Wooyoung was still invisible, so the older didn't know if he stayed at Yunho's or not, but apparently he didn't.
Seems like it, right? One of the decisions I regret.
"Don't act like a tough, heartless guy. You're a weak little baby, nothing more", San spat, his anger getting the best of him.
The ghost tried hard to not let these words affect him, but it didn't work. He had a big ass crush on the boy in front of him. San was his great love. His first, even.
That's why he couldn't act like nothing happened. Small tears escaped his eyes and he tried his best to suppress the upcoming sobs. Although, it didn't matter because no one was able to hear him.
"Now, you have nothing to say anymore, huh?", San asked daringly since the younger hadn't answered him.
The ghost breathed in deeply through his nose to calm himself.
I'm not weak.
For a small second, San wondered if he had actually hurt the ghost, but he quickly shrugged the feeling off.
"Yeah, sure", he answered sarcastically and rolled his eyes.
Then, he rushed into the school building to finally get to his class, leaving Wooyoung behind.
~~~
When the spirit joined San's class by floating through the wall, the first thing he saw was his crush and the new guy, named Seonghwa, giggling and whispering to each other.
To hear them better, Wooyoung moved closer to them until he was right behind the two.
"I'm really excited to do this project with you, you're such a nice guy, Sannie", Seonghwa said.
Sannie?! Bitch, that's my husband right here, not yours. Only I can call him thi- oh.
The ghost had only now remembered that the boy he had just spoken about could hear his thoughts.
But for some reason, San didn't seem to have heard him. He either was too caught up in his conversation with Seonghwa, or he decided to ignore Wooyoung.
It was probably the first variant.
"I can't say that I'm excited... because I'm not really in the mood to work for some history project, but I'm glad that we're in one team", San laughed, his dimples appearing in his cheeks.
"When should we start working on it?", Seonghwa smirked.
„Mmh, I'm kind of busy this week, but what about the weekend? We could meet up... that is, if you want to..."
"Of course", Seonghwa said. "Send me your address and I'll come over."
Strangely enough, a big smirk appeared on the guy's face.
It caused a bad feeling in San's stomach, but he ignored it and instead, nodded at the other with a slight smile.
The bell rang and announced the beginning of their break.
"Well, see you then", San said awkwardly, grabbing his stuff and throwing it into his bag.
"See you, babe", Seonghwa winked at him, before leaving the classroom, not missing the light blush on San's cheeks.
And what was that, if I may ask?
said Wooyoung through his thoughts, who had overheard the whole conversation and grew angrier by each second.
He didn't want San to interact with this idiot of a new student.
When it came to his crush, he was obsessive and extremely jealous.
All he wanted was San and he desperately clung to the thought that nothing between him and Seonghwa would happen.
San winced, startled by the ghost's sudden voice in his head.
"Why are you so interested in what's going on with me and Hwa?"
Oh, so that's what you call him now? Hwa?? What an ugly nickname.
And with that, Wooyoung turned around and floated out of the school building in high-speed.
