The Wild Orchid

Chapter 1

               It's 1988 in Dublin, Ireland. Phalen Artemis Warren wakes up screaming and forcefully in her New England style home. She's 5ft 4in tall with long brown hair to her ass and brown eyes. Phalen is covered in tattoos, very toned and muscular. She has six pack abs and a six pack for her back muscles. She is trembling fiercely and drenched in sweat. She get's out of bed. Then she slowly walks downstairs to her kitchen. Once there she grabs a glass of water. As Phalen does this she realizes she has a message on her answer machine. Out of curiosity she sits down at the table and pushes the play button.

               The message is as follows, "Phalen it's your sister Kelcey. I need your help." As Phalen picks her phone up to call her sister back, a knock comes from her front door. She slowly and on edge gets up, grabs her 9mm customized gun, takes the safety off, then walks to the door. Once she reaches the door she looks through the peep hole to see who is knocking on her door at like midnight. That's when Phalen realizes it's her sister Kelcey. Kelcey is 5ft 6in tall. She has brown hair like Phalen but, has blue eyes. She has a few tattoos. She's muscular, toned, and tanned. Phalen then relaxes a little when she sees that it's Kelcey. Then she puts the safety back on for her gun. After that she sets her gun back on the table. She opens the door and says, "Boy am I glad to see you. Come in it's cold out." Kelcey walks in the door and into the house.

               Once inside the warm house, the door is closed and locked behind her. Kelcey then says, "Sorry to come by so late at night Phalen. Damn sis you look like hell. You are pale as fuck. What's wrong with you?" Phalen turns away from her sister. She then sighs and says, "Something happened to me recently and I've been having nightmares about it since. Don't worry about me. You said in your message you needed my help. What's going on?" Kelcey looks at her sister puzzled for a moment then says, "Fuck what I need help with. It's not as important as to what happened to you. Tell me what happened." Phalen stands in complete silence for a few moments. Finally she looks at her sister and states, "You wouldn't believe me if I told you."

              "Phalen we have always told each other everything. It has been only the two of us for awhile now. Why don't you try me sis please." Kelcey says in a challenging yet loving way. When she looks in her sisters eyes Kelcey gives her a loving smile. There's a long awkward silence between the two of them. Phalen then finally states, "Please come sit down in the kitchen. This may take a while. Would you like some tea?" She motions to the kitchen table and has her sister sit. Once Kelcey is sitting Phalen makes some hot tea for the two of them. After the tea is finished being made she sits across from her sister. Once she was seated she says, "I was with a girl my age about two or three nights ago. While I was with her some scary, unexplained and weird shit happened."

               A giant smile appears on her sisters face. Kelcey then interrupts Phalen and says, "I know you are a lesbian and you know I am as well. Anyways, what possible scary, unexplained and weird shit could have happened besides, you getting laid." Phalen glares and throws a hand towel at her sister. Then she retorts, "Ha Ha very funny bitch. Getting laid wouldn't have been scary, unexplained or weird. So, shut the hell up and listen please." Phalen at that moment looked at Kelcey pleading. "Ok, ok chillax sis. I surrender. Just tell me what happened that night." Kelcey replies.

              Phalen takes a shaky deep breathe then continues, "So, this girl and I hit it off phenomenally. We had a few drinks. Well actually we were kind of drunk. I'm not telling you where we got the drinks from. Then we went to point lookout. As we sat there talking in the back seat of her car, we got closer to each other. Then we started to make out and get intimate. The next thing I know, one minute she was breathing with a heartbeat and the next minute she was dead. She was dead with a smile on her face. I don't know what the hell happened cause I blacked out. When I came to and saw that it scared the hell out of me. It scared me so badly I ran. It legitimately terrified me."

                Kelcey smiled with pride at her sister then asked, "Did anything else happen that you can recall or is that all? My little sister is growing up so fast." Phalen looked at her sister angerly and with complete shock. Phalen then exclaimed, "I just told you I think I killed her Kelcey. You don't even seem worried or shocked. What the hell is wrong with you?" Kelcey grabs her hands accross the table. Then smiles again at her. Kelcey in turn states, "I know who can help you. Plus, they can explain to you what exactly happened. Do you trust me? Are you willing to come with me to see them?" Phalen stares at her sister in disbelief and frustration. She then retorts, "Did you not hear what I just said? I just told you I think I killed a girl. Who on earth could possibly help me with that? I'm only 18 years old. I don't want to go to prison for murder."

              Kelcey then gets up and walks over to her sister. Once she reaches her sister she kneels down. Then she puts her hands on Phalen's shoulders. That's when she looks in her sisters eyes. There was a slight silence in the room then Kelcey says, "The people that can help you aren't the police silly. When I was 18 I had to get help from them. That was three years ago that this happened to me as well. They explained everything to me. They'll explain everything to you too. I promise. So, I'm going to ask you again, do you trust me and are you willing to come with me to see them?" Phalen looks into her sisters eyes. She sighs then asks, "When do we go see them? Wait, what are you talking about? This happened to you? What did you do? You need to explain damn it! You probably didn't wake up next to dead lovers. I have more then once and I never remember anything. I always black out."

               Kelcey smiles as she replies, "We'll go see them in the morning. I'll explain at a later time when I'm ready to. Wait this has happened before and you never told me. What the hell." There was a brief pause. During the pause Phalen shook her head yes. Then she says, "It's not exactly something to bring up over dinner. I'm not proud of it. How do you even bring that up to the only person you have in your life. The worst part is, I have no fucking idea what is happening." After Phalen was finished speaking Kelcey stated, "Now let's go get some sleep since it's now 2 AM in the morning. We will get you some answers ok?" Phalen shook her head yes. As Kelcey got up to walk away and leave Phalen grabs her arm and asks, "Will you please stay here, in my room with me? The futon is still up in there for you." Her sister replies lovingly and with a smile, "Of course I will. I know you're scared. I also know your confused. Furthermore, I know you want answers. Come now. Let's get some sleep. It's going to be a long day today." With that, they went to bed.
