Chapter 12

                   At 0500 hrs (Military time) Phoenix quietly entered Phalen and Gabby's room. He went over to Phalen's side of the bed and gently shook her to wake her up. Being startled she clocked Phoenix. Realizing this she whispered, "Oh shit. Sorry sir." He silently chuckled and whispered back, "It's ok Commander. Hell of a right hook by the way. I feel sorry for the son of a bitch that get's hit with that right hook. You are definitely Marine Corps to the core. It' s an honor to have you serving under me. Come on it's time to start your training today. Don't wake her. I left her a note letting her know I was taking you for training, and that she was welcome to come and observe. Let's go have coffee and breakfast. Then we'll head to training." Phalen nodded and got up. She dressed quickly and quietly then exited the room.

                   When they exited the room Riley and Conner were waiting for them in the hall. Conner being very observant noticed that the Captain was rubbing his jaw. Before Conner could speak Phoenix said, "L-C the Commander hit me with one hell of a right hook." With that being said, Phoenix went to the kitchen to cook. Conner and Riley's jaws dropped. Riley then replied, "Damn Commander you've got a quad. If anyone else did that we'd be blue, screwed, and tattooed." They all started to laugh as they proceeded to the kitchen for coffee and breakfast.

                  Once they entered the kitchen Phalen said, "Damn Captain, I forgot you could cook. It smells incredible." He shook his head with his back still towards everyone. Then he turned around smiled, served the food and coffee then replied, "Well Commander, just a reminder, I'm a jack of all trades but a master of none. I could teach you so, in the future when you get married you can cook elegantly for your woman. By the way, when you get married you will need to get married in military dress garb. I'll make sure it's a military style wedding. It'll be large and catered. You aren't allowed to plan or pay for anything." Phalen nearly choked on her food. Her mouth was dropped open from the shock of it being mentioned. After she recovered from the shock she replied, "Captain who says I'm even going to get married in the future. If I decide to it'll be much further in the future. At this moment it's way to early for that."

                  After a lengthy silence they all finished breakfast then headed to the gym for training. Once everyone was inside the gym they started to warm up and stretch. When that was completed they were instructed to run laps. When the laps were finished the Captain and Phalen entered the ring. They entered the ring bare knuckled. After they entered the ring Phoenix smirked at Phalen.

                   Then Phoenix said, "Hey commander think you can dance and chat at the same time?" Phalen smirked back at the Captain and replied, "Hey Captain don't let my good looks fool you. I have my fair share of scars and personal demons to fight. Hell yeah I can dance and chat at the same time. Are you truly sure you can take my ass? I may be more then you can handle. I'm not your common lacky. I have sharper teeth and a nastier bite then the rest. Still think you can take me?"

                    Phoenix laughed then said, "Yo commander, I ain't that old wise ass. With age comes rank, experience, and knowledge. Keep in mind I bite the hell back. Let's dance smart ass." Therefore it began. Everyone gathered around the ring. Phalen and Phoenix went hit for hit while shit talking each other and going over the terms of Phalen's rank responsibilities. They continued to get more and more aggressive with one another, turning the heat up on each other shot for shot bloody knuckles and all. Phalen then landed the final blow. With the final blow she TKO'D Phoenix. Everybody watched as Phoenix hit the mat knocked the fuck out.

                   The silence that over came the room was so thick it could be cut with a damn knife. Everyone in the room and around the ring stood silent and in total shock of what just happened. That's when fear, worry, and panic erupted. Thus causing complete chaos to ensue. While everyone else was panicking Gabby, Kat and Kelcey observed everything going on. Phalen however was beside Phoenix trying to wake him up from the total knock out she caused. She began to freak out. Phalen was so freaked out she began to cry. Through her tears she kept saying, "Holy hell fire what have I done. Phoenix please wake up. Shit I think I killed him. Please wake up damn it." After an intense 10-15 mins Phoenix woke up.
