The Wild Orchid

Chapter 14

                   It had been 2-3 weeks since Phalen took off and vanished. Hope was starting to fade at The Wild Orchid Headquarters. With every search party being on a schedule they still hadn't found Phalen. The frustration was getting unbearable for everyone. Sassy's guilt was eating her alive. She felt alone and like the worst mother in the world. Gabby kept checking on her to make sure she was taking care of herself. Sassy had not been feeding since Phalen vanished. She was becoming increasingly weaker and weaker each day.

              Finally Gabby said to Sassy, "You need to feed Sassy. If you don't you will die and you won't be able to make things right with Phalen. Please feed for Phalen and I. We need you and she deserves to get to know you. I will send a feed up to you. Also, I'm sorry I punched you and broke your nose. Can you forgive me?" Sassy smiled at Gabby and stated, "It's a little late for that. I have already forgiven you for it. If I had been in your place I would have done the same thing. I never would have expected you to be capable of that."

                  Sassy smiled while pausing. Sassy then continued, "I also never expected you to have the courage to do something like that. I was shocked. It did however, teach me a valuable lesson. You truly are a force to be reckoned with. Nobody should ever underestimate what you are capable of. To be honest, I'm proud of you." Sassy then gave Gabby a hug. After the hug ended, Gabby left the room. A few minutes later a feed was sent to Sassy's room. Once the feed was in the room Sassy fed.

                  Then on the last night of the three weeks a figure comes stumbling out of the woods badly injured. Once the figure entered The Wild Orchid Headquarters she collapsed in the entry way. That's when they realized it was Phalen. Panic swept through headquarters as they rushed Phalen to med bay. After rushing into med bay they placed her on a bed and shouted, "Gabby come quick it's Phalen and she's in bad shape!" Phalen had lacerations all over and other injuries over just about every inch of her body. While Gabby rushed over to Phalen she called for Sassy, Kat, Kelcey, Phoenix, Riley and Conner to report to med bay immediately.

                   When Gabby reached Phalen's side and looked into her eyes she said, "By the goddess Phalen what the hell happened?" As Phalen told Gabby what happened, Gabby quickly started to work on her. Not even a moment later the gang walked in and rushed to Phalen's bedside. Once Phalen became mostly stable the chaos calmed down. It remained calm very briefly. Just then Phalen started convulsing, and the sound of cracking bones rang loudly through the med bay. That's when Phoenix realized what was happening. After realizing this he exclaimed, "Oh fuck! That's not good. Kelcey grab the damn tranquilizer gun and get it ready. Kelcey you may have to shoot your sister with it. While Kelcey is doing that Gabby open one of the containment rooms. After that I need you all to get behind me and Kelcey. Phalen is going through her first transformation into a wolf and this could go south real quickly. If she has to be tranquilized, once she's out we can lock her in the containment room."

                    Gabby did as she was instructed as the continuous cracking of Phalen's bones continued. When she rejoined the group she was mesmorized by the stunningly gorgeous white wolf that appeared where human form Phalen had been. The wolf's eyes were a startling blue and gold color. That's when Kelcey said, "I'm sorry Gabby and I'm sorry sis." With that being said Kelcey pulled the trigger and shot Phalen with the tranquilizer dart. Thus causing Phalen to drop to the floor. Once she was out cold the gang put her in the holding room and locked her in. After Phalen was secured Gabby began to cry. While in tears Gabby said, "I can't take it anymore. Phalen is going through all this shit and I can't even be there for her like I want to. That's it. I can't fucking take it anymore. Kat make me fae. I'm so done with Phalen going through all this shit the fuck alone. Before any of you ask, this is what I want so do it."
