Chapter 30

              The next morning, Phalen was woken up by gentle kisses along her jaw. Phalen opened her eyes. While starring into Gabby's gorgeous emerald green eyes she says, "Good morning my gorgeous Mafia Princess fiancée." Gabby kissed Phalen then replied, "Good morning my gorgeous Assassin fiancée. I love you." "I love you too." Phalen stated while smiling. After about an hour Phalen and Gabby got up and headed to the kitchen. When they walked in they found Autumn and Aria making breakfast. They stood starring at them in shock.

               After starring at Autumn and Aria for a few moments in silence, Gabby states, "Holy fucking shit. I didn't know you two could cook. The million dollar question is, why are you two making breakfast?" Autumn turned and smiled at them. Autumn then replies, "We wanted to make breakfast for our favorite Assassin/Mafia Princess couple that recently got engaged." Phalen and Gabby smiled while shaking their heads at them.

               Once breakfast was finished being made the quartet sat down and socialized while eating. Just then Aria noticed that Archer and Rayne were sitting alone, and quite close to each other talking on the all season porch. When she saw this she said quietly, "Hey guys look. Do you see what I see?" They all looked towards Rayne and Archer. Gabby replies, "I'm seeing a lot of chemistry there. Do you guys see the chemistry that I'm seeing?" They all looked at each other and shook their heads yes with big smiles on their faces. That's when they continued to eat and chat.

               While they continued to eat Sam and Reiner entered the kitchen both smiling. When Phalen saw this she looked at them inquisitively. While looking at them she says, "Ok you two spill. What's going on between you two?" Sam and Reiner began to laugh. Sam then stated, "Get those assumptions out of your damn heads. Nothing happened and there's nothing going on. All we did was stay up talking and getting to know each other. We're smiling because, we're excited that one of our favorite couples is finally engaged and that another one of our favorite couples finally got together." They all chuckled together.

                 After a few minutes Gabby says, "Babe I have something I'd like to run by you." Phalen smiled while replying, "What is it my Mafia Princess?" Gabby shook her head and smiled back. Then after a moment Gabby states, "Babe you're enjoying my Mafia heritage a bit much aren't you? Moving on though. How would you feel about inviting Caleb, Selene, and Cameron to the wedding? I think it would be great to have a few of your Marine Corps friends present. It's a big day and a life changing day for us. What do you think?" Phalen sat quietly a few minutes. This actually made Gabby slightly nervous. Phalen replies, "Actually love I really am enjoying your Mafia heritage. It's part of who you are and I love it. As for inviting Caleb, Selene, and Cameron to the wedding, I absolutely love that idea. I'd like that very much. I also want to include Michelle and Solomon. I'm happy you thought of it and mentioned it." Gabby just smiled and then kissed Phalen deeply.

                Once the brief exchange between Phalen and Gabby occurred, they all carried on with breakfast like a small family. By this time Rayne and Archer had joined them at the table. As they all continued chatting a knock came at the door. This time however Rayne answered the door. When she opened the door she saw Phoenix and Sassy standing there. Without hesitation she invited them in. Soon after that they too joined the group.

                 After they were seated everyone present said good morning. When they finished saying good morning and giving hugs Phoenix asks, "Phalen, Gabby have you thought of any ideas for your wedding yet? Is there anything you two may want to discuss with the family you want thoughts on?" Phalen and Gabby looked at each other nervously then at Phoenix and Sassy. Silence remained over the room for about 5 minutes. Finally Phalen cleared her throat nervously then replied, "Actually mom and dad we have thought of an idea. The thing is we're hesitant to mention it." Once again silence falls over the room.
