The Wild Orchid

Chapter 29

                 A month had passed since all the rank ups occurred. The plans for the engagement party were moving along well. The dance lessons were also going smoothly. Phalen and Gabby had woken up at about 9am. Once they were awake they laid cuddling. Phalen then turns to Gabby and says, "So, you're a Mafia Princess babe." Gabby smiles while stating, "Yeah I am. Well you're an assassin by blood." Phalen chuckled. Then Phalen replied, "Who would have thought a Mafia Princess would fall for and fall in love with an assassin. Our poor children. Lol."

                 Gabby laughed then kissed Phalen. After a lengthy kiss Gabby states, "At least our kids will be strong when we decide to have kids. Shall we go get breakfast?" Phalen agreed. So they got up and went to the kitchen to make breakfast. When they entered the kitchen they found Phoenix and Sassy waiting for them. As Phoenix saw them he said, "Good morning General and Major." Phalen and Gabby had said good morning back as they joined Sassy and Phoenix at the table. After they were seated Phalen asks, "How goes the wedding planning?" Sassy states, "It's going slow but that's why we're here. The others will be here soon. We have something to ask you all. Once everyone is here we'll ask what we want to ask." Gabby and Phalen looked at Sassy inquisitively.

                 Finally everybody arrived. Once everyone was seated Phoenix says, "Let's begin. Phalen, Orion, Aspen, and Kat would you guys give me the honor of standing on my side at the wedding?" Phalen, Orion, Aspen, and Kat sat silently. Then they said together, "Absolutely. The honor is ours." Phoenix smiled at them while replying, "Thank you all." They only smiled. Sassy then stated, "Gabby, Conner, Ember, and Kelcey would you guys stand on my side at the wedding?" "Absolutely." they replied together.

                  Silence then fell over the room. Gabby then asks, "What are we going to be wearing?" Sassy continues, "Kelcey and Conner you'll be wearing your dress blues. Gabby and Ember your dresses will match my wedding dress." When Sassy finished speaking Phoenix stated, "Orion, Phalen, Aspen, you all will be in your dress blues. Kat you'll be in a dress that matches my suit." They all smiled in agreement. They all continued to suggest ideas for the wedding. By early afternoon everyone that wasn't staying at Phalen and Gabby's had left.

                  At about 2pm Phalen, Rayne, and Autumn met up with Phoenix for the next dance lesson. This dance lesson involved two different dances this time. One dance was swing dancing and the other was the bachata. This dance lesson lasted for 3 hrs. Once the lesson was complete Phalen, Rayne, and Autumn returned to the house. After getting back to the house they continued to plan the engagement party.

                  The planning had taken about two months to do. Finally it was time to put the plans in motion. Phalen, Orion, and Kelcey headed to the restaurant to set up for the party and to make sure everything was good to go. After the restaurant was all set up the trio returned to their homes. When Phalen got home Gabby asked, "Is everything set?" Phalen kissed Gabby then smiled. Phalen then replied, "Yes it is. Now the challenge is getting mom and dad as well as everyone else there without raising suspicion."

                  Gabby smiled at Phalen. Then Gabby said, "Already have that covered." "Do tell babe." Phalen replied. Gabby then continued, "Why not mention about a family dinner at the restaurant. Ever since it's opened we haven't had a family dinner. I believe mom and dad would relish in the chance for that." Phalen thought for a few then replied, "Love it. Let's get everyone here and mention it." With that they got everyone at the house. As soon as they all arrived Phalen said, "Mom, dad why don't we all go to the restaurant for a family dinner to celebrate the restaurant and the club. Ever since they opened and before that we've never had a family dinner. I've arranged for a few people to come in and do the work for our family dinner. That way we can all enjoy dinner as a family. What do you guys think?"
