The Wild Orchid

Chapter 2

                     The alarm clock sounded at 8am. When Phalen awoke she couldn't find her sister in the room. She could smell breakfast of coffee, eggs, french toast, and maple bacon cooking. So, she got up, and grabbed her robe because, all she slept in was a pair of boxers and a sports bra. Then she headed downstairs. When she got to the kitchen she found Kelcey cooking breakfast. Kelcey then looked up at her sister. When done cooking, Kelcey sat at the table and said, "Good morning. Coffee is ready." Phalen smiled and happily joined her sister at the table with a cup of coffee. Once seated she asked, "When are we going to see the people that you know that can help me?" Kelcey glanced over her newspaper with a smile then said, "Drink your damn coffee and have breakfast. After that get dressed and ready. Then we'll go see them." 

                    Phalen smiled back in agreement. She drank her coffee and ate breakfast. Once she was finished she went back up to her room to get ready to go. When she got there she found that her sister had picked clothes out for her. Kelcey had chosen a pair of black leather pants, a blue tank top, knee-high assassin type boots, and an assassin type leather jacket for her to wear. Once Phalen was dressed and ready she returned downstairs. When she reentered the kitchen she found her sister still sitting at the table. After she entered the kitchen she said, "I'm nervous but all ready to go and meet these people Kelcey. Hey why aren't you ready yet?" Kelcey again looked over the top of her newspaper, smiled and said, "Have another cup of coffee to settle your nerves while I get dressed. When I'm done getting dressed I'll do something with that hot mess of hair of yours. Then once that's done we'll go see the people that can help you."

                  When Phalen went to question her sister about what was wrong with her hair, she realized her sister was already upstairs getting ready. So she grabbed a second cup of coffee, her holstered customized 9mm gun, and sat back at the kitchen table to wait for her sisters return. Roughly about 20 mins later Kelcey walked back into the kitchen wearing black leather pants, a black tank top, knee high assassin type boots, and an assassin type leather jacket. Her long brown hair was done in a tight braid down her back. Phalen looked at her sister with her mouth open. Then she said, "Holy hell sis. You look absolutely gorgeous. Even in some just casual clothing. What's wrong with my hair?" 

                Kelcey smiled, chuckled, then replied, "It's just your normal everyday style. I'd like to do something different with it. Would you mind if I braided it like I did mine?" Phalen smiled at her sister then stated, "I would love that. Please go ahead." So Kelcey did as was asked of her. While Kelcey was braiding her sister's long beautiful brown hair she realized that Phalen was relaxed and smiling contently. Once she was finished she replied, "Ok sis finished. Let's go see the people who can help. I promise they will be able to help you." So they left the house. They had been driving for 30 mins when they turned down a hidden and secluded dirt road. Phalen decide to make a joke. What she said was, "By the goddess, I feel like we're in a fucking horror movie." Her sister chuckled at that. They travelled about another 10 mins. Then in a hidden clearing Phalen's mouth dropped when they pulled up to an extremely large mansion.

                  The car was then put in park and turned off. Kelcey then said, "Phalen welcome to the headquarters for The Wild Orchid. The leader will explain everything to you." All of a sudden Phalen's heart rate started to race and her nerves spiked out of control. As Kelcey led her sister to see the leader she noticed just how nervous Phalen was. She stopped walking, turned around in front of her sister and put her hands on her shoulders. After a moment she said, "Take some deep breathes. You will be fine. You're safe here." Phalen smiled reluctantly at her sister. They then continued to the room where the leader was waiting for them. Once they reached the door Kelcey opened it and escorted her sister into the room.

                 After the door closed behind them Phalen looked a head and saw a gorgeous woman standing at the front of the room starring at her. This froze Phalen in her tracks. The leader was 5ft 7in tall, slender, and very tanned. She had black hair with emerald green eyes. Once Phalen composed herself and took a deep breath, they proceeded towards the front of the room. That's when the leader spoke. She said, "Hello Phalen. I'm Katherine and I've been waiting for you. I'm The Wild Orchid's leader. I know your sister very well and personally. Your sister just so happens to be my girlfriend. She has informed me of what happened with you." There was a slight pause from Katherine. She then looked at Kelcey with a smile and continued, "Thank you babe for bringing her to me. I'm glad you did. I will take care of her from here."

                 Kelcey smiled in return and said, "Ok love. I'll meet up with you in a little while. For now I'm going to go workout and do some training. I love you and see you later. By the way sis, you're in good hands now. Love ya." Kelcey then left the room. Once the door was shut Katherine approached Phalen. She circled her a few times while looking Phalen over then said, "Would you mind if my human doctor examines you? Her name is Gabrielle." Phalen looked at Katherine confused and puzzled. Then she stated respectfully, "I'm sorry ma'am but I don't understand what you mean by that. What do you mean by human doctor? Aren't you human?" Katherine chuckled. She then smiled caringly and replied, "You really don't know what you are do you?" Phalen blushed with embarrassment and looked down at the floor. She then stated meekly, "I'm sorry but I don't know what I am. I'm confused by what you mean."

                 Katherine gently lifted Phalen's face so she could look into her captivating brown eyes. As Katherine was looking into her eyes she smiled caringly then stated, "Phalen, you are Fae. As am I and so is your sister." Phalen was confused, shocked, intrigued yet silent. Once she regained some courage and her vocabulary she asked, "What are Fae? What kind are you?" "Fae are supernatural creatures who are extremely gifted. There are many types. There's the light and dark Fae for sides. Every Fae gets to decide what side they want to be aligned with. Myself and your sister are aligned as light fae. My dear Phalen, I'm a fury. After Gabrielle examines you, you'll find out what type of fae you are. Then once that is determined you will go through a tribunal. After the tribunal you will be given a chance to align with either the light fae or the dark fae. Once you choose either light or dark your chosen side will always protect you."

                Phalen was amazed about what Katherine had just told her. After 5 mins or so of silence Phalen asked, "So when do we go see your human doctor?" After walking down a few hallways with Katherine they arrived at the med bay. Once outside the door Katherine said, "We are here. Let's go in." As they entered the room Phalen saw a gorgeous woman in a long white doctors coat. Gabrielle is 5ft 4in tall, has long blonde hair, and startling emerald green eyes a person could get lost in. Gabrielle is also tanned, toned, and muscular. When Gabrielle noticed they were in the room she looked at Katherine then stated, "Hello Katherine. What can I do for you today?" Katherine looked into Gabrielle's eyes and smiled. She then said, "This is Phalen. She is Kelcey's sister. Can you please do the normal examination and tell her what type of fae she is?" Gabrielle replied, "It would be my pleasure. Would you like to stay and observe while I do the examination?" Katherine smiled. Then she said, "That's not necessary.  I know you will give me the results once it's all said and done. With that being said, I leave her in you more then capable hands."
