Sabo's POV

From what I was told, I got into a terrible accident as a child. My parents said constantly that Gray Terminal was dangerous and filled with nasty pirates. Despite their warnings, I went in anyway.

One day I was attacked by pirates and given a disgusting scar on my left eye. My parents were disappointed in me but in the end, I decided to stay away from Gray Terminal.

Ever since then, I've actually come to hate pirates and low lives like them. All I wanted to do was see what their life was like but instead I get attacked. It's no wonder everyone in High Town hates them.

After that incident, I focused all my time and effort into studying like my father always wanted. I vowed to never become a filthy pirate ever since my encounter with them.

Who would want that life anyway when you could be a noble?

"Sabo!" Father called out.

It was around eleven in the morning. I laid on my king sized bed, eyes closed shut. The bed felt like clouds, the blankets on it were as warm as a bear hug.

"Yes, father?" I opened my eyes and lifted myself up.

"You must get ready to meet the Princess of Goa!" He replied.

"Ah, yes! I'll be ready in a few minutes!" I shouted back, getting out of my bed and turning into the massive closet I owned.

I grabbed my fanciest attire and put it on. It was a black suit with a few hints of navy blue. I went into the bathroom and brushed my teeth. I combed my hair back yet a strand still stuck out. I didn't mind it anyway and walked down the stairs.

"Oh Sabo, you look stunning! So professional!" Mother smiled.

"Thank you mother!" I smiled along with her.

Stelly walked over to me. "Nice outfit, brother!"

"Thanks, yours look nice too!" I complimented.

"Of course it does, it's only the most expensive suit in High Town." He snickered, slicking his hair back.

"That's incredible, I wish I could wear something as fancy as that!" I placed my hand on his shoulder.

"Ahahah! You're so funny Sabo!" Stelly giggled.

"Sabo!" A deep voice shouted.

I turned to my right and It was my father.

"Remember, what Ive always told you." He looked at me coldly.

"If I don't marry a princess, I'll never be happy. Don't worry father, I'm going to get along with her I promise."

"That's my boy. Marrying a princess is the only way to be happy. You'd be praised by others and have extreme amounts of berries. Off to the castle!" He grinned, unlocking the door to our house.

He opened the door and revealed High Town. Nobles we're everywhere, living their lives.

This was it, I was finally gonna be happy. Once I meet this princess we can get married and I'll be the happiest, richest man in all of Goa!

"Your son is a MENACE!" The Queen shouted.

It was already dusk, and the princess and I didn't get along as well as we planned. The dining room echoed her screams over and over again.

"Have you even SEEN him?!" She continued.

My parents were shocked, they thought they were prepared for anything but they were completely in the wrong.

"First of all his manners are terrible, he didn't even ask the king if he could serve him! Second, his outfit is horrendous! I couldn't even look at it, all I wanted to do was throw up! Third, what is that hair?! It looks disgusting, he is not fit for my daughter!" She complained.

My face went red as I slowly lifted the strand of hair in front of me to the back.

"Your other son is much better at this than him! Sadly since this sorry excuse of a noble is apart of the family I could never have my daughter marry Stelly. Your son brings shame on all nobles, I'll have the guards escort you out." She ended the conversation and started walking out of the room.

"Wait!" I called out, running towards the Queen.

"Sabo, what are you doing?!" Father whispered aggressively.

I can't let Stelly miss his chance to become prince because of my mistake. It was my fault I wasn't perfect, so somehow I have to make me look better.

" That's my boy. Marrying a princess is the only way to be happy. You'd be praised by others and have extreme amounts of berries."

That's it, I need to impress them.

"If I could get an extremely wealthy princess to marry me, could Stelly marry your daughter? I can prove that I'm worthy of this family!" I suggested.

She glared at me with fierce cerulean eyes. Her glistening blonde hair along with her blue and yellow dress swayed along with her movements. She looked away for a second, thinking of a response.

"If you would like to do this, I have specific conditions." She added.

"Anything at all." I spoke.

The Queen smiled and walked closer to me. "This princess you speak of must be from deep within the Grand Line. That is, if you could even make it there." She gave a devilish look, determined and confident I wouldn't even make it past the dock.

"I'll do it!"

Everyone was shocked from my proposal. Who could've guessed I had to go to the Grand Line to get married for the sake of the family.

I walked away with a stern look, my back towards my parents.

"Sabo, what the hell were you thinking?! Challenging the Queen of Goa, this is absurd!" Father exclaimed.

I turned to him along with my mother. "This is the only way Stelly could be happy! He could be the Prince of Goa! Besides, I heard GrandLine princess are much prettier anyway." I added as I continued to walk towards the entrance.

"Sabo!" Mother called.

I've never been out of the kingdom before. This would be my first time going on a ship. Not only that, but this is my first time going to The Grand Line.
