Sabo's POV
As I made my way though the ship, I thought about the first few days of my life here. I've constantly called for food service but no one came so I had to go myself. No one would escort me anywhere, that was just plain rude. And do not get me started on the bathrooms.
Everything on this rusty old boat is crap. I would've rather stayed a noble than go through this. There was no going back though, I was stuck on this ship either way. I stopped walking and looked out to the sea. We already made it past Reverse Mountain and the first few islands since we were already in the Grand Line.
As I looked out at the horizon, something came into view. I leaned over, trying to make out what had appeared.
"What could that be..." I muttered.
"The next Island!" The captain suddenly appeared next to me.
I jumped. "Excuse me! Don't just appear out of nowhere you idiot! You peasants are so disgusting." I complained.
He turned to me, studying my face. "Have you ever been out to sea?" He asked, giving a smirk.
I glared and him. "No, I haven't! I've never been out of the Goa Kingdom." I spoke with an attitude.
He chuckled. "We haven't talked for most of this trip, might as well start now! So you're a noble from Goa and you're getting married to princess Vivi. Why didn't you just marry the princess of the Goa Kingdom?" He asked.
I sighed, all I wanted was for this filthy captain to go away. "I tried but she didn't like me. Instead she liked my brother but the Queen refused for them to get married." I explained.
"Why's that?"
"Well...because my hair...looked...bad..." I spoke clearing my throat.
The captain's eyes widened as he spit out a large cackle. "ARE YOU SERIOUS?!" He exclaimed.
I placed my hand over my mouth and looked away. I gave him a slight nod and he continued to laugh.
"That's the funniest thing I've ever heard!" He added. "You're telling me, you got turned down for your stupid hairline?! No wonder that princess didn't like you!"
My face became red. "HEY! DON'T YOU DARE TALK ABOUT MY HAIR LIKE THAT!" I argued.
He stopped laughing and calmed down. "So, then what happened?" He questioned.
"I made a deal with the Queen, if I marry a princess then I could be fit for the family. The only problem is that according to her, this princess has to be in the GrandLine. So that brings us to today, almost a full week into The GrandLine, going to Alabasta." I spoke, slightly annoyed.
"Huh, what a story. Y'know, I've noticed something about you." The captain said as he looked at the sky.
I looked at him with a confused glare.
He continued. "Even though you have that snobby noble in you, deep down you act so casual. You actually held up a conversation with and old man like me." He smiled.
"Don't act like we're friends or anything. That's the last thing I want." I paused as I looked away from him.
My hand was placed on my cheek. Looking out to my left, the shining azure sea was calm and beautiful.
