Chapter 18: Brothers

Sabo's POV

"LUFFY, NO!" Ace screamed out of desperation.

He then turned to me, who was just as shocked as he was.

"THE HELL ARE YOU TWO DOING HERE?!" He shouted.

"HEY ACE, SIT TIGHT OKAY?! CAUSE WERE GONNA GET YOU OUTTA HERE!" Luffy cheered as the group behind him hollered.

Marines in the surrounding area of me started gossiping.

"LUFFY NOOO!" Garp Yelled.

Out of nowhere people started yelling back and forth, and then Crocodile disappeared.

He was about to attack Whitebeard until Luffy blocked his attack. Everything was happening so fast.

"You came here to rescue your big brother?! Do you have the slightest idea of who our forces are up against?!" Whitebeard spoke, slamming his weapon on the ground."A squirt like you is gonna get slaughtered real easily!"

"SHUT UP! YOU DON'T KNOW! YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW ME!" Luffy screamed.

I couldn't believe that this was actually my little brother. Back when I first knew about Luffy, he just seemed to be some reckless pirate. All bark but no bite. Yet here he is falling from the sky and standing up to Whitebeard himself.

If Whitebeard assumed Luffy's gonna die, I wonder what my chances of living are.

"I know what you're up to, yeah you wanna be the king, huh?! FIRST YOU GOTTA GO THROUGH ME! GOT IT?!" Luffy shouted as he placed his hands on his hips.

I swiftly continued to fight, still flabbergasted at Luffys words.

Whitebeard spun his weapon around, creating a giant gust of wind. Once again he slammed it down and smiled.

"IM GONNA BE THE ONE TO RESCUE ACE!"

There's no possible was he was competing with Whitebeard?!

"Luffy...Sabo...my family!" Ace trembled.

"HANG ON ACE! IM ON MY WAY!" Luffy screamed as he jumped down to the battlefield.

He was heading straight towards me. At least along with a giant army.

I decided to follow the army, with them I might be a bit safer.

"BAM!"

I bright light crashed through as I turned my head to a group of people.

A man appeared, he dressed in yellow and had a white coat over his shoulders.

"Did you think I was gonna let you pass? You fellas are awfully confident for a bunch of nobodies." He spoke slowly.

"Damn! It's admiral Kizaru!" Someone spoke.

"ADMIRAL?!" I shouted, turning to the group.

The admiral looked towards me. "Huh?"

I stepped back, but heard footsteps grow near. Once I looked behind me, Luffy was already running at us.
