Sabo's POV

Dear Ace,

How have you been? I'm still training a lot, I don't know any haki, but I'm definitely stronger! The captains been alright, if you didn't know we recently upgraded our ship! It's kinda weird, everywhere I go people talk about Luffy! It's funny I used to think he was some weakling.

I guess I'm the one staling, huh?

"HEY SABO!" A shout was heard.

"Oh, coming!" I replied, putting away my writing supplies.

As I made my way to the door, I turned to the mirror in my room. My hair was still the same blonde it's always been. Instead of slicked back hair, I let it go much more. Instead of putting concealer over my scar like my mom told me to, I decided to let it show. I had a different outfit than back then and fixed up my old hat. It looked slightly different, but now it could fit me, which was good.

It's been a few months since I left to the Grand Line. The crew had gotten much bigger during our travels and surprisingly, I'm the captains right hand man. We managed to make it all the way to Sabaody Archipelago. Our plan was to relax and have fun while we're here.

As we arrived, we landed at dock 42.

"What's that?" A crew mate pointed.

I looked to the general area and saw another docked boat. It was big compared to ours, and extremely colorful. There was also a lion like animal in the front.

"Someone else's ship probably." I said casually, although it did look a bit familiar.

Once we explored around and went to the amusement park, we left to go shopping. As we walked around, there were whispers and chatter coming from everyone. Most were holding newspapers, which was slightly concerning.

Luffy probably did something crazy again, but what could top breaking into Enies Lobby?

"Hey captain, I'm gonna newspaper quick." I whispered to him.

"Huh? Why's that?" He asked slightly concerned.

I then walked next to him. "I think it has something to do with my brothers." I spoke.

He smiled at me, and nodded. "Alright, there everywhere, I'm sure you can find some ahead."

"Got it." I quickly added as I ran forward.

As I ran I kept hearing whispers, but people kept repeating one word.

"Ace."

"Why is everyone talking about Ace? What did he do?" I thought, eventually finding one on the floor.

As I lifted it up, I felt a pit in my stomach. I had never felt this nervous about a news report. Shaken up, I looked inside.

"Blackbeard defeats Fire Fist Ace!"

My eyes widened at the sight of those words.

"Blackbeard the famous pirate defeats the second commander of the Whitebeard pirates, and exchanges him to the World Government for the title of Warlord."

"W-what?" I muttered.

"He'll be taken to the Underwater Prison, Impel Down, and executed in Marineford in a week."

"Executed?!" My hands started crushing the edges of the paper. "How could this happen?"

The rest of the crew walked over to me, still in a bright mood.

"Hey, kid, what's going on?" The captain asked.

"We need to go!" I stated, quickly getting up from the floor.

The captain stepped back. "Woah! I'm the captain of this ship, don't order my men. Also, why exactly do you need to go?! Go where?!"

"It's about Ace, we have to leave right now!" I quickly  walked back to the ship.

The captain grabbed my shoulder. "Hey! I'm your captain as well, tell me what's going on, kid!"

"IT'S ACE! HE'S GETTING EXECUTED!" I shouted, pulling my shoulder away from his hands.

His eyes widened at the sound of those lingering words.

"Wait, what?" He asked, confused.

"In a week, he's getting executed at Marineford. Right now he's going or maybe even at Impeldown. I have to save him, I can't just let him die!" I panicked.

"Hey! Sabo, it's okay!" The captain placed his hands on my head. "Let's set up a plan, I want to save Ace as much as you do but we have to calm down." He reassured.

I took a deep breath and agreed. He was right, We couldn't just bust into Impel down and not get caught. Once the captain ordered the men, we all ran back to the ship desperate to save Ace.

"How long will it take to get to Impel down?" I asked out of breath.

"Probably more than a week unless we use a navy ship, I think it'd be best to get to Marineford so we're ahead of schedule and we can make it on time." The captain spoke.

"Are you serious?! Will we be able to make it by the time Ace is executed?!" I questioned.

"I think we might, but it's too hard to tell. For now we just have to hurry up." He replied, ending the conversation.

Once we got into the ship, we quickly set sail and headed straight to Marineford.

"Ace, you can't die, not yet."

"You're my brother."
