Sabo's POV

As Ace told me his stories, I wrote down everything myself. The experiences he went through were remarkable, to be fair he's a member of The White beard Pirates and once The Spade Pirates.

He's met so many people and has been to so many places. Back then my life was so straightforward. I knew what I wanted to do because my parents told me so. The fact that they would be happy was enough to make me do so.

After everything I've seen here, I almost wanna explore the Grand Line instead of study.

"You've done a lot during your time here." I spoke as I wrote about an island.

"Yeah, I'm still surprised you're interested in this stuff." Ace replied.

I laughed. "Of course I would, I believed the Grand line to be some pirate graveyard. I thought it would be scary not exciting." I explained and finished writing.

"So, I heard you apologized to the captain yesterday." Ace placed his head on his hand.

I sighed. "I know I already apologized but It felt incomplete to me. Didn't sound genuine enough, so I wanted to make up for it. Wait- what's with the subject change?" I turned my head to him.

Ace smiled. "That's nice, crazy to think we're already at the end of our journey together."

"Stop ignoring me!"

"I just wanted to tell you, I'm happy I got to know you!" He beamed at me.

His bright energy was seen often, but this time it felt different. Ever since Ace told me about his dead brother, I felt like some reincarnation that just so happened to meet him again.

During our time bonding, I started to see it differently. When I lashed out back then, I thought he saw me as that spirit but I was wrong. I don't agree with the way he thinks, but I respect him just for something small like that.

I grinned back at him. "Me too!"

The rest of the day was pretty much the same as it always was. The captain, Ace, and I went fishing for a few hours which was nice. We cooked, rode Ace's Striker, and then we stared at the stars. Since I studied when I was a kid, Ace and the captain wanted me to do a bunch of things for the final day.

I didn't even want to sleep, all I wanted was to keep talking to them.

"Is this what fun is like?" I thought. "If so, I think I like it."

I slowly opened my eyes. I felt drowsy as I lifted my body forward.

"What time is it?" I muttered to myself.

I made my way to my suitcase and looked through. As I dug around for some clothes, I came across my old hat.

"I forgot I brought this with me..." I said under my breath as I held it up.

The old thing was greatly damaged and torn. Sadly, I only remembered my parents telling me to get rid of it. They never liked the hat but personally I didn't see anything wrong with it. Of course It had to be fixed up, but I still liked it for some reason.
