Sabo's POV

It was the next day, I got up from the dirty bed and got my hair ready. I tried pushing the strand of hair back but it kept sticking out no matter what I did. I left my room and made my way to the top deck.

"Morning sleepyhead!" The captain suddenly appeared.

"Sleepyhead?" Confused, I turned to him.

He laughed. "It's 4 pm!" He said happily.

I froze, Somehow I slept in the whole morning.

"Ace and I were talking for a while last night. My sleep schedule has always been to wake up at 8am."

"Captain, I want you to help me fall asleep tonight!" I ordered.

His eyes widened and he stared at me. "Look, im not really into that kinky crap. Especially when you're about to marry someone in a few days." He said in a disgusted tone.

I stood looking at him confused, but then it clicked. "WHAT?! Ew, no! My sleep schedule is 10 pm to 8am. Today I didn't follow my schedule so you have to help me follow it!"

The captain laughed. "Never seen someone so passionate about when to sleep. Listen kid, stop worrying about that stuff. Let's do something fun instead."

I stood confused at his response. "Fun?" I asked.

We kept walking. "Yeah, doing things for enjoyment? Do you not know what that is?" The captain asked.

"I know what it is, but fun is something kids do." I said casually.

The captain had a sad expression. "Kid, everyone can have fun, not just kids. Who told you that?" He asked.

I averted by gaze and blushed red from embarrassment. "My dad? Isn't everyone taught that?" I asked.

"Having fun shouldn't be something you should stop doing." He explained with a soft smile.

I felt embarrassed, this man had such a different life from mine. Growing up I was always told to focus on myself and the family. I never experienced fun, especially after my incident.

"How about we go fishing?" The captain spoke with glee.

"Fishing?" I questioned. "You mean when fisherman catch fish?"

He nodded, a bright smile spread across his face.

"Don't fisherman only do that though?" I looked at him with a confused expression.

He grabbed my hand. "Anyone can fish as long as you learn how! Cmon, I'll show you." He bolted to the top deck, dragging me along with him.

As we got outside, the crew mates were working like usual. We rushed over to a small area with a few poles, buckets, and chairs. I took a peek inside a bucket and there were all sorts of dead worms and fish. My nose caught the smell and I quickly covered it.

"Ugh! This smell is disgusting! What is it?!" I shouted.

The captain laughed at my suffering as he took a seat." It's worms and fish, more commonly known as bait when it comes to fishing. Since you have no clue how this starts, I'll show you." He took out a dead fish piece with his bare hand. He placed it in a hook that was attached to a string, along with a weight.
