Sabo's POV

I blinked rapidly, slightly shocked. I didn't remember anything, but once I closed my eyes I recognized the scene.

"I DON'T GIVE A DAMN WHAT YOU WANT! I'M HERE TO SAVE YOU!" Luffy screamed.

"YOU STUBBORN JACKASSES!"

We kept running, until Luffy stopped and turned to the first son of the sea, Jimbei.

I stopped as well, covering them while they spoke.

Suddenly-

"Luffy!" I called out as a giant mace of some sort came his way. He dodged easily but the fighting only continued.

"HEY ACE!" Luffy shouted.

Once I looked to the sky, Luffy was demolishing the mace holder already.

"SAY WHATEVER MEAN STUFF YOU WANT, I'M STILL GONNA SAVE YOU!"

Once his words echoed throughout the battle field, I could only smile.

"AND HE'S NOT THE ONLY ONE ACE!" I screamed as I fought down below.

Once he heard my voice, he laid his attention on me.

"YOU BETTER BELIEVE NO AMOUNT OF ARGUING IS GONNA STOP ME FROM SAVJNG YOU EITHER!" I screamed with confidence.

He could only stare in shock as the two of us barged into a war just to save him.

I had no clue how long it was since the battle started. Luffy had been having a rough time, especially for being one of the most wanted people here. Being the son of Dragon has its ups and down. It was only a matter of time before I'd fall.

Either way, thanks to Ivan, Luffy was still fighting. With that in mind, I stuck beside him just in case.

"EXECUTE HIM!"

Both Luffy and my eyes widened as we kept our pace.

"THIS WAS THE ONLY WAY!" Sengoku lifted his arm.

"ACE!" Luffy screamed as we bashed through the crowd.

I'm unison both Luffy and I screamed. "DON'T DO IT!!"

An explosion went off in the distance, then a sudden gust of wind filled the air. As the blades drew closer to Ace's fragile neck, All we could do was watch.

"DON'T....YOU.....DAAAAAARRRRRRREE!!"

Luffy screamed his lungs out as he closed his eyes shut. Wind bursted from his scream and it effected anything within the area.

Everyone was silent as hundreds of people fell to their knees and became unconscious. I fell to the floor, being so close to him almost made me pass out as well. I closed my eyes from shock.

Luffy yelled. "IT'S NOT OVER YET!"

Once I closed my eyes I saw almost everyone on the floor. With Luffy and Ivan continuing on, I had no choice but to follow them. The battle continued, one fight after another. Eventually, a member from The Revolutionary Army made a bridge straight to Ace.

As much as I wanted to save Ace along with Luffy, I would certainly die if I did. I'm not like Luffy or Ace, unlike them, I haven't had much experience in a long battle. This was the first really big fight I've ever been in. Once Ace gets somewhere safe, I can ramble on and on about what happened.

"WE DID IT! IM HERE-"

"BANG!!"

An explosion rang and Luffy's voice was cut off. Once I turned to him, all I saw was Luffy running towards a large cloud of smoke. Vice Admiral Garp emerged in front of Luffy with a stern look on his face.

Luffy kept running. "GRANDPA! GET OUTTA THE WAAAY!!"

"GRANDPA?!" I shouted in disbelief.

"I'M NOT MOVING A DAMN INCH! I'M A VICE ADMIRAL OF THE NAVY! I'VE BEEN FIGHTING PIRATES LONG BEFORE YOU WERE BORN, AND I AIN'T STOPPING TODAY!" Garp replied coldly.

Everyone stared in awe as the two family members shouted.

"YOU'RE NOT MY GRANDSON HERE, YOU ARE THE PIRATE STRAW HAT LUFFY! AND I'LL FIGHT YOU TO THE DEATH!"

My eyes widened, Luffy said that was his grandpa, why would he try to fight Luffy despite knowing how much Ace means to him?!

"THIS IS THE PATH YOU CHOSE TO TAKE!"

Their fighting continued, over and over they exchanged shouts as Luffy slowly hit closer to him. As I fought down below, from the corner of my eye, I saw it.

Luffy had punched his grandpa, Vice Admiral Garp.

"He actually did it..." I muttered.

Finally he jumped his way onto the platform. He actually made it, he could save Ace.

Just when I thought they could escape, Sengoku suddenly grew and glistened a bright gold. They were about to get crushed. Luffy blocked the attack by enlarging into a balloon and the whole platform broke into pieces. Both Ace and Luffy fell as bombs shot at them in mid air.

A giant explosion went off right in front of us.

"ACE! LUFFY!" I screamed, wind flying through the air.

It was as if they died, at least until...

"SWOOSH!!"

A tunnel of flames burned from the smoke, it was Ace.

They were alive.

My face lit up with a smile. "THEY'RE ALIVE!!!" I shouted along with the others who celebrated around me.

"LET'S GOOO!!" Luffy screamed with joy.

The two landed on the ground, along with another guy who collapsed. Fire surrounded them in a ring, almost like it was magic.

They both started to run together, finally exacting this hellhole. I had to get to them, I was so close I couldn't leave them alone like that.

"HEY!" I shouted.

I quickly noticed that the two had stopped running. Admiral Aokiji had just showed up. Luffy stepped to the side as Ace took on the man before them. I quickened my pace but the gush of cold air flew into my face. Ace had melted Aokiji's ice, which was a big surprise even though fire beats ice.

Both Luffy and Ace continued to run. With them getting farther out of my reach, I had to catch up to them.

I couldn't afford to let either of them die.
