Sabo's POV

I stared in awe at the captains stance. "What do you mean by that?" I asked with a confused glare.

The captain turned to me with a smile. "What else is there to say, Almost every noble has never experienced freedom before." He explained.

"Ace spoke about being free, at least how being a pirate means being free." I muttered.

The captain laughed. "There is truth behind those words. I can tell you don't understand what I mean so I'll explain it to you." He slowly sat down back onto the bed.

He faced me. "Goa kingdom is built off the fact that anyone under noble is trash. Royalty and nobles are just better than pirates and lowlifes cause they have money and ranking." He explained.

"Well, yeah that's how it works. Its their own fault for being so poor." I remarked.

Suddenly the captain lifted his index finger and swayed it side to side. "That's where you're wrong dear noble. Same as you, once you were born, you were born into a rich family. Rich parents, rich house, etc. For people like me and Ace, we were born into a different family. One that didn't have as much money."

He continued. "It wasn't our fault we were born into poor families, exactly like how it's not your fault for being born into a rich one. We had to survive unlike you. I had no clue what it was like for Ace, but for me I had to work every day for money. I sold fish my father and I would catch and earned money that way."

To think people like that captain had to work to where he was today. He seems like a hardworking  man but he still has time for things like fun,

"Back then I never really hated higher ups. That was
until one day." He stated.

"One day? So you've never hated them at first?" I questioned.

"Well, I disliked them but what they did that day changed my opinion forever." The captain spoke angrily.

"It was about ten years ago, I was around thirty-five years old." He said. "My friend and I were just starting a boat related business, the same one your parents are using for you. At the time, we only had my fathers boat and his small sail boat."

Captain's POV

"Hey! Connor! You heard about the Celestial Dragon, right?" My friend called out as he ran towards me.

"How could I not? I was planning to see them arrive! We should head over with your boat, once the celebration is finished, we can go fishing like we planned!" I said with glee.

"Yeah, sure!!" Piper agreed.

Once we had everything ready, we sailed off to the dock of Goa Kingdom. As soon as we arrived, the Celestial Dragon's ship came into view.

"Woah! Imagine if we had a ship that huge?!" Piper exclaimed.

"We wouldn't even need to work!" I snickered.

Finally the ceremony was about to start! Piper and I cheered along with the rest of the crowd near us. Slowly the ship got closer and closer.

"Oh damn!" Piper muttered as he looked at his clothes.

"What's up?" I peered to him.
