Sabo's POV

It's been about a week ever since the deal I made with the Queen. It was also the day I would leave to The Grand Line. The princess I was set to marry was named Princess Vivi from Alabasta.

My father picked out Princess Vivi mainly because Princess Reiju could've been too much. We wanted to be rich, not have an entire army. Not only that, but she's all the way into the New World.

Even though Vivi and I had a four year age gap, it was much better than dating fourteen year olds.

I finished packing all my things including my old hat. The ship was set to leave in about an hour so I had time. I put on my new suit and combed my hair which still had a strand sticking out. I grabbed my things and head to the door.

"Good luck, brother." Stelly said with a happy expression.

"Thanks a lot Stelly-"

"It's funny, back then when we were kids I always thought you were dumb. Especially since you kept leaving to Gray Terminal. I'm proud of you, you're living your dream and making the family happy!" He put his hand on my shoulder and smiled.

My dream?

What was my dream back then?

"See you!" Stelly skipped off.

I slightly waved back but thought about what Stelly said. I left to the dock along with my stuff to see my mother near a ship. The ship wasn't big, but it wasn't small either.

"Mother, why is the ship so ugly? Wasn't I going on a more fancy ship?" I asked, underwhelmed by what I was seeing before me.

"I'm sorry dear, your father didn't want to waste too much money affording a ship for you. It's understandable though, why should we waste money on some ship?" She stated.

"Where is he anyway? Isn't he gonna see me off?" I asked.

"He's working on a few things right now, he can't make it." She said, as we started making our way towards the boat.

"Right...is everything ready?" I asked as we made our way onto the gangway.

"Just about, you should be leaving within twenty minutes." She replied, holding my hands.

We looked at each other. " Make me proud son." She tilted her head and smiled.

I nodded. " Don't worry mother, I promise I will." I smiled back at her.

We parted ways and I stepped onto the boat. I knew I haven't been on one, yet the feeling felt familiar. I went inside and found my room. The place looked old and the bed was nothing like the one I had back at home.

"Ugh..." I muttered and I sat down on the bed.

It felt uncomfortable, it made a bunch of noise and it was hard as a brick.

I quickly got up and walked out of my room. As I made my way around the boat I found a sailor.

"Sir, I demand you give me a comfortable mattress now." I ordered, placing my hands on my hips.

They looked at me and cracked up. "Look noble, I only take orders from my captain. Your status is nothing on this ship. What you get is what you get for the rest of this trip."

I was completely offended, this guys literally a sailor. He has no right to tell me what I can and can't have. Despite his attitude I just glared and walked away. Yelling at him wasn't gonna get me a decent bed any faster.

I tried looking for the captain and eventually I stumbled upon another crew member.

"Excuse me, do you know where the captain is?" I asked.

"He's prolly making sure everything's ready. If you haven't seen him up deck, he'll be down below." They spoke as they were tying a rope.

"Understood, thank you!" I ran to the bottom of the boat and looked around for the captain.

I saw a man looking through some dusty boxes and assumed that could be them. "Are you the captain of this ship?" I questioned as I swiftly put my arm behind my back.

He turned to me. " Yes I am." He had a large mustache, his hair was a deep grayish black. This man was definitely in his forty's, possibly fifty's. He wore a dark blue suit with a white stripe pattern. He also had a badge signifying he was the captain.

"Excuse me but I demand a comfortable bed for my room." I ordered.

The captain stared for a few seconds, then gave a slight chuckle. "Sorry kid, it doesn't matter if your a noble or pirate. On this ship, everyone is treated as an equal. Of course we have exceptions such as the king and queen since they could execute us if we don't."

"You WILL get me a comfortable bed. That is MY order because I am a noble." I shouted.

The captain was shocked from my response. "I'm sorry sir, my ship, my rules." He said calmly, walking out of the room.

I groaned and left as well. I had to deal with this now since there was nothing else I could do.

After a few minutes, the boat took off and we were headed to the GrandLine. Who knows how long it'll take to get to Alabasta. What I do know is that It's gonna be a long boring trip.

Yes I know the Sabo and Vivi pair is kinda not okay, there weren't many options to pick from.
