"Oh my..."
Startled, I jumped up but wobbled slightly on my four legs.
'Thank you Merlin.' I prayed silently, I'd been able to morph.
I looked at the person who had woken me and saw a boy, no older than ten, and a little girl who looked around six or seven.
"Hello there." the little girl patted my shoulder gently.
"My name's Faith. This is my brother Elijah."
Faith was petite, with rich and curly brown hair that stopped just below her shoulder blades and warm brown doe eyes. She was really quite cute, I could tell she'd be pretty when she was older.
Elijah on the other hand was slightly taller than an average ten year old with neat dirty blonde hair and the same brown eyes as Faith, though his weren't doe like, they were almond shaped.
I stared at them before I whinnied and reared up on my back legs a little, backing away.
"Faith, look, she has a collar, weird." Elijah's brow furrowed as he slowly approached me.
I stood still as he gently unhooked the collar and read the tag.
"Lily Evans." he read.
"We need to call this number Faith, we need to return her to her owner." Elijah nodded, pointing to the number on the collar.
"Aw! Can't we keep her for an hour or two?" Faith pouted.
"We can ride her back to the house, going past the creek that's about half an hour?" Elijah bargined.
"Why are there all these spikes on her collar?" Faith poked the side of one of the large spikes carefully.
"No idea." Elijah shrugged.
"Now c'mere. I'll give you a leg up, she's quite tall. She'll probably hold both of us."
Faith did as he asked and was now sitting near my front.
I moved around a bit before I settled and Elijah clambered on, upsetting me greatly.
I made a few snorts and irrtated blows before I calmed down again and felt Faith wind her hands into my mane gently, Elijah patting my hide to tell me to move onwards.
"It's such a shame we have to return her. She seems lovely." Elijah sighed from my back as we walked through the picuresque scenery, which I was taking mental pictures of.
"Yeah. If we could keep her I would've kept her as mine." Faith sighed wistfully, stroking my shoulder softly.
'Sorry kid, but I'll always belong to someone else.' I thought.
"There's the creek Faith." Elijah pointed to a small stream running across the field.
"Care to go faster?" Elijah said, obviously grinning.
"Go!" Faith yelled.
Elijah didn't even need to touch me before I sped up to a comfortable run, heading towards the small stream.
As we grew nearer to the creek I saw that it wasn't as small as I had first thought it to be, in fact it was about two metres wide.
Elijah jumped off as we reached the edge and helped Faith off, Faith making 'weeeeee!' noises as he did.
I drunk quickly and soon Elijah and Faith were back on my back, heading back to their house.
"MUM! Look what we found!" Faith cried as she was put on the ground by Elijah.
